Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual

当时，尼布甲尼撒大发烈怒，命令把沙得拉、米煞、亚伯尼歌带过来；他们就把这几个人带到王面前。

我就要向你们发烈怒，行事与你们作对，因你们的罪，加重七倍惩罚你们。

“你们行事若与我作对，不肯听从我，我就要因你们的罪，加重七倍灾祸击打你们。

我就要行事与你们作对，因你们的罪，加重七倍击打你们。

如果这样，你们还不听从我，我就要因你们的罪，加重七倍惩罚你们。

仇敌说：‘我要追赶，我要追上，我要分掳物，在他们身上满足我的心愿，我要拔刀，亲手毁灭他们。’你用风一吹，海水就淹没他们；他们像铅沉在大水之中。

我必将这杯递在苦待你的人手中。他们曾对你说：‘你屈身，任我们践踏过去吧！’你就以背为地，又如街道，任人走过。

众人听见这些话，心中极其恼怒，向司提反咬牙切齿。

就变了脸色，心意惊惶，腰骨好像脱节，双膝彼此相碰，

石头沉，沙土重，愚妄人的恼怒比这两样更沉重。愤怒为残忍，怒气像狂澜，惟有嫉妒，谁能挡得住呢？

心骄气傲的人名叫傲慢，他行事出于狂妄骄傲。

王下令，把那些控告但以理的人和他们的妻子儿女都带来，扔在狮子坑中。他们还没有到坑底，狮子就制伏他们，咬碎他们的骨头。

人的愤怒终必称谢你，你要以人的余怒束腰。

却看不中该隐和他的供物。该隐就非常生气，沉下脸来。耶和华对该隐说：“你为什么生气呢？你为什么沉下脸来呢？

议会的人听了极其恼怒，想要杀他们。

他又在坛上摆好了柴，把牛犊切成小块放在柴上，说：“你们用四个桶盛满水，倒在燔祭和柴上。”他又说：“倒第二次。”他们就倒第二次。他又说：“倒第三次。”他们就倒第三次。水流到坛的四围，沟里也满了水。

‘你坐下，你出去，你进来，你向我发烈怒，我都知道。因你向我发烈怒，你的狂傲上达我耳中，我要用钩子钩住你的鼻子，将嚼环放在你口里，使你从原路转回去。’

雅各见拉班的脸色，看哪，待他不如从前了。

说：“大人，我们记得那迷惑人的还活着的时候曾说：‘三天后我要复活。’因此，请吩咐人将坟墓把守妥当，直到第三天，恐怕他的门徒来把他偷了去，就告诉百姓说：‘他从死人中复活了。’这样的话，那后来的迷惑就比先前的更厉害了。”彼拉多说：“你们有看守的兵，去吧！尽你们所能的把守妥当。”他们就带着看守的兵同去，封了石头，将坟墓把守妥当。

王大怒，起来离开酒席往御花园去了。哈曼见王定意要加罪于他，就留下来求以斯帖王后救他的命。

“我的朋友，我对你们说，那最多只能杀人身体而不能再做什么的，不要怕他们。我提醒你们该怕的是谁：该怕那杀了以后又有权柄把人扔在地狱里的。是的，我告诉你们，正要怕他。

便‧哈达又派人到亚哈那里，说：“撒玛利亚的尘土若足够跟从我的军兵每人手拿一把，愿神明重重惩罚我！”以色列王回答说：“你们告诉他说，‘刚束上腰带的，不要像已卸下的那样夸口。’”

王的震怒是死亡的使者，但智慧人能平息王怒。
