The two kings, with their hearts bent on evil, will sit at the same table and lie to each other, but to no avail, because an end will still come at the appointed time.

The kings of Syria and Egypt will sit at the same table. But in their hearts they will plan to do what is evil. And they will tell lies to each other. But it will not do them any good. God will put an end to their plans at his appointed time.

智慧人中有些仆倒的，为要锻炼他们，洁净他们，使他们成为雪白，直到末了，因为要到了指定的时候，结局才会来到。

他们图谋奸恶，说：“我们设计了最精密的阴谋！”人的意念和心思实在深不可测。

因这异象关乎一定的日期，很快就要实现，决不徒然；纵有迟延，仍当等候，因为它一定会来到，绝不耽误。”

不可吃吝啬人的饭，也不可贪恋他的美食。因为他心里怎样计算，他的为人就是怎样；他虽然对你说：“请吃，请喝！”他的心里却没有你。你所吃的那一点食物，必要吐出来，你道谢的美言，也都白费了。

他说：“看哪！我要告诉你在神忿怒审判的后期必要发生的事，因为这是有关那末后的定期的。

“到了末期，南方王要和他交战；北方王必带着战车、骑兵和大批战船，像暴风一般来到他那里；他必侵入列国，如洪水泛滥，横扫而过。

不是的，你们心中策划奸恶；你们的手在地上施行强暴（本句原文作“你们在地上称出你们手中的强暴”）。

勇士啊！你为什么以作恶自夸呢？神的慈爱是常存的。

图谋恶事的，心存诡诈；使人和睦的，心中喜乐。

嘴唇火热，心却奸恶，就像包上银渣的瓦器。

但在七月的时候，王裔以利沙玛的孙子、尼探雅的儿子以实玛利，也是王的一位大臣，带了十个人和他一起到米斯巴去见亚希甘的儿子基大利；他们在米斯巴一起吃饭的时候，尼探雅的儿子以实玛利和与他一起的那十个人就起来，用刀袭击沙番的孙子、亚希甘的儿子基大利，就是巴比伦王指派管理那地的，把他杀掉。以实玛利也击杀了所有在米斯巴和基大利一起的犹大人，以及在那里所遇见的迦勒底军兵。

人心里的谋算很多，唯有耶和华的计划能实现。

弟兄们，论到时候和日期，不用写什么给你们了。

你要说：‘主耶和华这样说：这葡萄树怎能茂盛呢？鹰不是要拔出它的根来，啄光它的果子，使它和它长出的一切嫩叶都枯干吗？其实，要把它连根拔起，并不需要很多人或很大的气力。

波斯王古列第三年，有一个信息启示给那称为伯提沙撒的但以理。这信息是真的，是关于一场大战争；但以理明白这信息，了解这异象。

押沙龙说：“王若是不去，求王让我的哥哥暗嫩与我一同去。”王问他：“为什么要他与你一同去呢？”

耶稣说：“父凭着自己的权柄所定的时间或日期，你们不必知道。

“到了指定的时候，他必回来，再侵入南方的王国，不过这次的情况却不像前一次。

因为他已经定好了日子，要藉着他所立的人，按公义审判天下，并且使他从死人中复活，给万人作一个可信的凭据。”

卑贱的人真是虚空，高贵的人也是虚假，放在天平上就必升起；他们加在一起比空气还轻。
