你们看那按肉体是以色列人的，那些吃祭物的人岂不是与祭坛有份吗？那么，我怎么说呢？是说祭偶像之物算得了什么吗？或说偶像算得了什么吗？不，我是说，他们所献的祭是祭鬼，不是祭神；我不愿意你们与鬼来往。你们不能喝主的杯，又喝鬼的杯；不能吃主的筵席，又吃鬼的筵席。

作恶的人哪，你们离开我吧！我要遵守我神的命令。

倘若有人心里坚定，没有不得已的事，并且由得自己作主，心里又决定了不让女儿结婚，这样做也好。

吃了他们祭牲脂肪的，喝了他们浇酒祭之酒的，叫那些神明站出来帮助你们，作为你们的保障吧！

他到了那里，看见神所赐的恩就欢喜，劝勉众人要立定心志，恒久靠主。

各人要随心所愿，不要为难，不要勉强，因为神爱乐捐的人。

王从自己所用的膳和所饮的酒中，派给他们每日的分量，养育他们三年，好叫他们期满以后侍立在王面前。

若有人对你们说：“这是献过祭的物”，那么为了那告诉你们的人，并为了良心的缘故就不吃。我说的良心不是你自己的，而是他的。我的自由为什么被别人的良心评断呢？我若谢恩而吃，为什么因我谢恩的物被人毁谤呢？所以，你们或吃或喝，无论做什么，都要为荣耀神而做。

你公义的典章，我曾起誓遵守，我必按着誓言而行。

可是，不是人人都有这知识。有人到现在因拜惯了偶像，仍以为所吃的是祭过偶像的食物；既然他们的良心软弱，也就污秽了。其实，食物不能使我们更接近神，因为我们不吃也无损，吃也无益。可是，你们要谨慎，免得你们这自由竟成了软弱人的绊脚石。若有人见你这有知识的在偶像的庙里坐席，而这人的良心是软弱的，他岂不放胆去吃那祭过偶像的食物吗？

你若因食物使弟兄忧愁，就不是按着爱心行事。基督已经为他死，你不可因你的食物使他败坏。所以，不可让你们的善被人毁谤。因为神的国不在乎饮食，而在乎公义、和平及圣灵中的喜乐。

彼得却说：“主啊，绝对不可！凡污俗和不洁净的东西，我从来没有吃过。”第二次有声音再对他说：“神所洁净的，你不可当作污俗的。”这样一连三次，那东西随即收回天上去了。

看哪，我吩咐要为耶和华—我神的名建殿，是照耶和华向我父亲大卫说的：‘我必使你儿子接续你，坐你的王位，他必为我的名建殿。’

你死在哪里，我也死在哪里，葬在哪里。只有死能使你我分离；不然，愿耶和华重重惩罚我！”拿娥米见路得决意要跟自己去，就不再对她说什么了。

他们又与巴力‧毗珥连合，吃了祭死人的物。
