爾既與基督同起、宜求上焉者、即基督所在、坐上帝右、故所志者宜在上、勿在下、

但上帝富有矜恤、以浩大之愛愛我、於我儕因過愆而死時、偕基督而甦我、爾之得救乃由恩耳、且於基督耶穌、使我儕與之同起、亦同坐於天、

主一、信一、洗一、

我所愛之兄弟乎、毋迷誤、凡美善之施、純全之賚、皆由於上、自光明之父而降、彼無變易、無移影、

然基督誠自死見起、為諸寢者先、

蓋我眾不論猶太、希利尼、為奴、自主、皆受洗於一神、合為一身、且皆飲於一神焉、

若我與基督同死、則信亦必與之同生矣、且知基督自死見起、必不再死、死不再主之、其死也、則一次為罪而死、其生也、則為上帝而生、如是、爾曹於基督耶穌中、宜自視為罪而死、為上帝而生也、○

蓋爾以恩得救、由信非由己、乃上帝所賜也、

致基督因信而居爾心、使爾根基於愛、

願平康之上帝、曾以永約之血、使羣羊之大牧、我主耶穌、自死復生、俾爾備乎諸善、以行其旨、且於我衷成其所悅者、願榮歸之、爰及世世、阿們、○

蓋因基督賜爾、不第信之、亦為之受苦、

瞻望耶穌、即我信之始終、彼為陳於其前之樂、忍受十架、輕視恥辱、今得坐於上帝右、

我為福音之役、依上帝所賜之恩、乃依其能之功用而賜我也、

我兄弟乎、如是爾因基督之身、脫律若死、致可他適、即自死見起者、俾我儕結果於上帝、

以及施洗、按手、死者復起、永世之鞫、諸訓是也、

非因我行義之功、乃依其矜恤、以重生之盥濯、與聖神之復新、即上帝由我救者耶穌基督厚注我儕者、

故曰、寐者宜寤、自死而起、基督將照爾矣、○

凡受之者、即信其名者、則賜之權、為上帝子、其生也、非由血氣、非由情欲、非由人意、乃由上帝也、

耶穌曰、我誠語汝、人非更生、不能見上帝國也、尼哥底母曰、人既老、奚能生、能再入母胎而生耶、耶穌曰、我誠語汝、人非由水與聖神而生、不能入上帝國、由肉而生者、肉也、由神而生者、神也、我語爾必更生、勿以為奇、

既至、則集會眾、述上帝偕己所行之事、及闢信門於異邦人、

使徒謂主曰、祈益我信、

基督既以身受苦、爾亦宜以此志自衛、蓋受苦於身者、則與罪絕矣、俾不再循人慾、惟循上帝之旨、以度餘年、爾往時從異邦人之欲、而行邪侈、縱恣、沉湎、荒宴、盤樂、及違理拜像之事亦足矣、
