因此，我们自从听见的日子就不住地为你们祷告和祈求，愿你们满有一切属灵的智慧和悟性，真正知道上帝的旨意，

因此，从听到你们的消息那天起，我们便不断地为你们祷告，求上帝使你们在一切属灵的智慧和悟性上完全明白祂的旨意，

故我儕自聞之之日、為爾祈禱不已、俾爾充諸靈智靈識、洞悉其旨、

我儕聞之、為爾祈禱不輟、願爾感聖神得智慧、備知其旨、

是以我儕自聞之之時、為爾祈禱不已、求主俾爾得諸睿智靈慧、盡知其旨、

吾人逖聽之餘、即不輟為爾祈求、賜爾靈慧妙識、俾能切身體認天主弘旨、臻於圓融洞澈之地；

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,

That’s why we have not stopped praying for you. We have been praying for you since the day we heard about you. We keep asking God to fill you with the knowledge of what he wants. We pray he will give you the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives.

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.

For this reason also, since the day we heard this, we haven’t stopped praying for you. We are asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,

For this reason we also, since the day we heard about it, have not ceased praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

至於從上面來的智慧，首先是純潔的，然後是和平的、謙和的、溫順的，滿有憐憫和美好的果子的，是不偏私、不虛假的；

你們要把握機會，對外面的人靠智慧行事。

如果你們中間有人缺乏智慧，他就應當向那慷慨賜予萬人又不責罵人的神祈求；神就會賜予他。

我是這樣禱告的：願你們的愛心能在真正的知識和一切分辨力上，越來越豐足有餘，使你們能分辨是非，好在基督的日子裡是純潔、無可指責的，並且充滿了那藉著耶穌基督而來的義行果子，歸於神的榮耀和稱讚。

因為神的旨意就是要你們藉著行善，堵住那些愚妄人無知的口。

在一切美善之事上使你們完備，好遵行他的旨意。願神藉著耶穌基督，在我們裡面行他看為喜悅的事。願榮耀歸於他，直到永永遠遠！阿們。

為此，我既然也聽說了有關你們對主耶穌的信仰，以及對所有聖徒的愛心，就不斷地為你們獻上感謝，在禱告中提到你們，願我們主耶穌基督的神——榮耀的父，賜給你們智慧和啟示的靈，使你們能真正地認識他。我也求神照亮你們心中的眼睛，使你們知道：屬他召喚的盼望到底是什麼；在聖徒中間，他繼業榮耀的豐盛到底是什麼；並且在我們這些相信之人的身上，照著他力量的權能作為，他能力的無限偉大到底是什麼。神曾將這能力運作在基督的身上，使基督從死人中復活，並且使他在天上坐在自己的右邊，

「至於我，我絕不會停止為你們禱告而得罪耶和華，我必指教你們那美善、正直的道路。

求你教導我遵行你的旨意，因為你是我的神；願你美好的靈引導我到平坦之地。

為此，我們也常常為你們禱告：願我們的神把你們看為配得他的召喚，並且以他的大能成全你們一切美好的心願和一切信仰的行為，

不住地禱告，

其實，你們需要忍耐，好在你們行完神的旨意以後，可以領受所應許的。

不要效法這世代，要藉著理性的更新而改變，使你們可以分辨什麼是神的旨意——那美善、可喜悅、完美的旨意。

因此，我屈膝在父面前——天上地上的萬族都是從他得名的，願他按照他那榮耀的豐盛，藉著他的靈，以大能使你們內在的人剛強起來；使基督藉著你們的信仰，住在你們心裡；使你們在愛中扎根，根基穩固，好讓你們有能力與所有聖徒一起了解基督的愛是多麼長、闊、高、深——明白那超越了人所能理解的基督之愛，好讓你們得以滿足，達到神一切的豐盛完美。

我們為你們禱告的時候，總是感謝神我們主耶穌基督的父，因為我們聽說了你們在基督耶穌裡的信仰，以及對所有聖徒所懷的愛——

你們要讓基督的話語豐豐富富地住在你們裡面，要用一切的智慧彼此教導、勸誡，懷著感恩的心，以詩篇、聖詩、屬靈的詩歌來歌頌神。

在神我們的父面前，不住地記念你們在我們主耶穌基督裡的信仰的行為、愛心的勞苦，以及對盼望的忍耐。

世界和屬世的欲望正在消逝；但那遵行神旨意的，卻永遠長存。

正如它在全世界，不斷地結果子和擴展；自從你們在真理中聽見並了解神恩典的那一天起，在你們中間也像這一樣，

神以一切的智慧和聰明，使這恩典豐豐富富地臨到我們，

我在禱告中提到你的時候，總是感謝我的神，

每次為你們大家祈禱的時候，我總是懷著喜樂的心祈禱，

以帕弗拉問候你們；他來自你們那裡，是基督耶穌的奴僕；他在禱告中，總是為你們竭力祈求：願你們成熟、站立得住，在神的一切旨意中確信不疑；

為此，不要做愚妄的人，而要領悟主的旨意是什麼。

不要只在人眼前服事，像是討人的歡心，而要像基督的奴僕，從心裡遵行神的旨意。

以致不再順著人的欲望，而是順著神的旨意，在世上度餘下的時間。

人如果願意遵行神的旨意，就會明白這教導究竟是從神而來的，還是我憑自己而講的。

要分辨什麼是主所喜悅的事。

我比我所有的教師更明達，因為我默想你的法度。

我在日夜的祈禱中時常想到你，我感謝神，就是我像先祖那樣以清白的良心所事奉的那一位。每當想起你的淚水，我就切切地想去見你，好讓我的喜樂得以滿足。

首先，我藉著耶穌基督，為你們各位感謝我的神，因為你們的忠信被傳遍全世界。事實上，神——就是我在他兒子的福音工作上用心靈所事奉的那一位，可以為我見證：我怎樣不住地提到你們，在我的禱告中總是祈求，或許可以照著神的旨意，終有一天能順利地到你們那裡去；

使你們在基督裡凡事都得以富足——在一切話語上、一切知識上——

這樣，彼得被拘留在監獄裡，教會卻為他熱切地向神禱告。
