體認天主、日新又新、仰賴天主榮耀之宏能，充以神力、俾克忍耐諸苦、顛沛造次、不改其樂；

being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,

We want you to be very strong, in keeping with his glorious power. We want you to be patient. We pray that you will never give up.

We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy,

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. (niv)

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;perseverance, character; and character, hope.And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. (niv)

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. (niv)

But he said to me,“ My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (niv)

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. (niv)

Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near. (niv)

Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses;in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger;in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; (niv)

The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name. (niv)

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection.Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment.They were put to death by stoning; they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated—the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. (niv)

To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. (niv)

If you falter in a time of trouble, how small is your strength! (niv)

Your right hand, Lord, was majestic in power. Your right hand, Lord, shattered the enemy. (niv)

This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus. (niv)

You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions.So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.For,“ In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.”And,“ But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.” (niv)
