And He said,“ Amos, what do you see?” So I said,“ A basket of summer fruit.” Then the Lord said to me:“ The end has come upon My people Israel; I will not pass by them anymore.

“ What do you see, Amos?” he asked.“ A basket of ripe fruit,” I answered. Then the Lord said to me,“ The time is ripe for my people Israel; I will spare them no longer.

“ What do you see, Amos?” he asked.“ A basket of ripe fruit,” I replied. Then the Lord said to me,“ The time is ripe for my people Israel. I will no longer spare them.

And he said,“ Amos, what do you see?” And I said,“ A basket of summer fruit.” Then the Lord said to me,“ The end has come upon my people Israel; I will never again pass by them.

“ What do you see, Amos?” he asked. I replied,“ A basket full of ripe fruit.” Then the Lord said,“ Like this fruit, Israel is ripe for punishment! I will not delay their punishment again.

He asked me,“ What do you see, Amos?” I replied,“ A basket of summer fruit.” The LORD said to me,“ The end has come for my people Israel; I will no longer spare them.

And He said,“ What do you see, Amos?” And I said,“ A basket of summer fruit.” Then the Lord said to me,“ The end has come for My people Israel. I will not spare them any longer.

And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said Jehovah unto me, The end is come upon my people Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.

He asked me,“ What do you see, Amos?” I replied,“ A basket of summer fruit.” The Lord said to me,“ The end has come for My people Israel; I will no longer spare them.

And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.

He said,“ What do you see, Amos?” I replied,“ A basket of summer fruit.” Then the LORD said to me,“ The end has come for my people Israel! I will no longer overlook their sins.

He said,“ Amos, what do you see?” I said,“ A basket of summer fruit.” Then Yahweh said to me,“ The end has come on my people Israel. I will not again pass by them any more.

And the Lord said to me,“ Amos, what do you see?” And I said,“ A plumb line.” Then the Lord said:“ Behold, I am setting a plumb line In the midst of My people Israel; I will not pass by them anymore.

They tracked our steps So that we could not walk in our streets. Our end was near; Our days were over, For our end had come.

The Lord showed me, and there were two baskets of figs set before the temple of the Lord, after Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the princes of Judah with the craftsmen and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.One basket had very good figs, like the figs that are first ripe; and the other basket had very bad figs which could not be eaten, they were so bad.Then the Lord said to me,“ What do you see, Jeremiah?” And I said,“ Figs, the good figs, very good; and the bad, very bad, which cannot be eaten, they are so bad.”

Woe is me! For I am like those who gather summer fruits, Like those who glean vintage grapes; There is no cluster to eat Of the first-ripe fruit which my soul desires.

Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying,“ Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said,“ I see a branch of an almond tree.”Then the Lord said to me,“ You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.”And the word of the Lord came to me the second time, saying,“ What do you see?” And I said,“ I see a boiling pot, and it is facing away from the north.”Then the Lord said to me:“ Out of the north calamity shall break forth On all the inhabitants of the land.

And the glorious beauty is a fading flower Which is at the head of the verdant valley, Like the first fruit before the summer, Which an observer sees; He eats it up while it is still in his hand.

“ And you, son of man, thus says the Lord GOD to the land of Israel:‘ An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land.Now the end has come upon you, And I will send My anger against you; I will judge you according to your ways, And I will repay you for all your abominations.

But the house of Israel will not listen to you, because they will not listen to Me; for all the house of Israel are impudent and hard-hearted.

Moreover He said to me:“ Son of man, receive into your heart all My words that I speak to you, and hear with your ears.

And he said to me,“ What do you see?” So I answered,“ I see a flying scroll. Its length is twenty cubits and its width ten cubits.”

As for me, I will indeed dwell at Mizpah and serve the Chaldeans who come to us. But you, gather wine and summer fruit and oil, put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that you have taken.”

Then He said to me,“ Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the room of his idols? For they say,‘ The Lord does not see us, the Lord has forsaken the land.’”

“ And it shall be, when you come into the land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you possess it and dwell in it,that you shall take some of the first of all the produce of the ground, which you shall bring from your land that the Lord your God is giving you, and put it in a basket and go to the place where the Lord your God chooses to make His name abide.And you shall go to the one who is priest in those days, and say to him,‘ I declare today to the Lord your God that I have come to the country which the Lord swore to our fathers to give us.’“ Then the priest shall take the basket out of your hand and set it down before the altar of the Lord your God.

The prophets prophesy falsely, And the priests rule by their own power; And My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?

When David was a little past the top of the mountain, there was Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth, who met him with a couple of saddled donkeys, and on them two hundred loaves of bread, one hundred clusters of raisins, one hundred summer fruits, and a skin of wine.And the king said to Ziba,“ What do you mean to do with these?” So Ziba said,“ The donkeys are for the king’s household to ride on, the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat, and the wine for those who are faint in the wilderness to drink.”

An end has come, The end has come; It has dawned for you; Behold, it has come!

Then I raised my eyes and looked, and there were four horns.And I said to the angel who talked with me,“ What are these?” So he answered me,“ These are the horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.”Then the Lord showed me four craftsmen.And I said,“ What are these coming to do?” So he said,“ These are the horns that scattered Judah, so that no one could lift up his head; but the craftsmen are coming to terrify them, to cast out the horns of the nations that lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.”

Furthermore He said to me,“ Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the great abominations that the house of Israel commits here, to make Me go far away from My sanctuary? Now turn again, you will see greater abominations.”

And He said to me,“ Have you seen this, O son of man? Is it a trivial thing to the house of Judah to commit the abominations which they commit here? For they have filled the land with violence; then they have returned to provoke Me to anger. Indeed they put the branch to their nose.

Tell them therefore,‘ Thus says the Lord God:“ I will lay this proverb to rest, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel.”’ But say to them,‘“ The days are at hand, and the fulfillment of every vision.

Then the angel who talked with me came out and said to me,“ Lift your eyes now, and see what this is that goes forth.”So I asked,“ What is it?” And he said,“ It is a basket that is going forth.” He also said,“ This is their resemblance throughout the earth:

‘ Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:“ Surely I will bring a sword upon you and cut off from you man and beast.
