And the LORD said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:

耶和华对我说：“阿摩司啊，你看见什么？”我说：“看见准绳。”主说：“我要吊起准绳在我民以色列中，我必不再宽恕他们。

耶和华对我说：“阿摩司，你看见什么？”我说：“铅垂线。”主说：“看哪，我要在我子民以色列中吊起铅垂线，不再宽恕他们。

耶和华对我说：“阿摩司，你看见什么？”我答道：“一条准绳。”主说：“我要在我的以色列子民中吊起准绳，量度他们，我不会再饶恕他们。

耶和华对我说：“阿摩司，你看见什么？”我回答：“我看见准绳。”主又说：“看哪！我把准绳放在我民以色列中间，必不再放过他们。

耶和華對我說：「阿摩司，你看見甚麼？」我說：「鉛垂線。」主說：「看哪，我要在我子民以色列中吊起鉛垂線，不再寬恕他們。

永恆主對我說：『阿摩司啊，你看見甚麼？』我說：『準繩。』主就說：『看吧，我必吊起準繩在我人民以色列中間；我必不再把他們放過去。

耶和華諭我曰、阿摩司歟、爾所見維何、對曰、準繩、曰、我將置準繩於我民以色列中、不復赦宥之、

耶和華謂我曰、亞麼士爾觀何物。對曰、準繩、曰、我不復宥以色列族、必絜以準繩、削之務盡、

主謂我曰亞摩斯、爾觀何物、我曰、準繩、主曰、我將設準繩在我民以色列中、我不復寛宥之、

And the Lord asked me,“ What do you see, Amos?”“ A plumb line,” I replied. Then the Lord said,“ Look, I am setting a plumb line among my people Israel; I will spare them no longer.

The Lord asked me,“ What do you see, Amos?”“ A plumb line,” I replied. Then the Lord said,“ Look at what I am doing. I am hanging a plumb line next to my people Israel. It will show how crooked they are. I will no longer spare them.

And the Lord said to me,“ Amos, what do you see?” And I said,“ A plumb line.” Then the Lord said,“ Behold, I am setting a plumb line in the midst of my people Israel; I will never again pass by them;

And the Lord said to me,“ Amos, what do you see?” I answered,“ A plumb line.” And the Lord replied,“ I will test my people with this plumb line. I will no longer ignore all their sins.

The LORD asked me,“ What do you see, Amos?” I replied,“ A plumb line.” Then the Lord said,“ I am setting a plumb line among my people Israel; I will no longer spare them:

And the Lord said to me,“ What do you see, Amos?” And I said,“ A plumb line.” Then the Lord said,“ Behold I am about to put a plumb line In the midst of My people Israel. I will not spare them any longer.

And the Lord said to me,“ Amos, what do you see?” And I said,“ A plumb line.” Then the Lord said:“ Behold, I am setting a plumb line In the midst of My people Israel; I will not pass by them anymore.

And Jehovah said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumb- line. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumb- line in the midst of my people Israel; I will not again pass by them any more;

The Lord asked me,“ What do you see, Amos?” I replied,“ A plumb line.” Then the Lord said,“ I am setting a plumb line among My people Israel; I will no longer spare them:

The LORD said to me,“ What do you see, Amos?” I said,“ Tin.” The sovereign One then said,“ Look, I am about to place tin among my people Israel. I will no longer overlook their sin.

Yahweh said to me,“ Amos, what do you see?” I said,“ A plumb line.” Then the Lord said,“ Behold, I will set a plumb line in the middle of my people Israel. I will not again pass by them any more.

And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.

The LORD hath purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion: he hath stretched out a line, he hath not withdrawn his hand from destroying: therefore he made the rampart and the wall to lament; they languished together.

Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.Now[ is] the end[ come] upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations.And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I[ am] the LORD.Thus saith the Lord GOD; An evil, an only evil, behold, is come.An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come.The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble[ is] near, and not the sounding again of the mountains.Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, and accomplish mine anger upon thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense thee for all thine abominations.And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee according to thy ways and thine abominations[ that] are in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I[ am] the LORD that smiteth.

Thou hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting.

Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as[ a man] wipeth a dish, wiping[ it], and turning[ it] upside down.

But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof[ is] toward the north.

And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof[ is] twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.

Who[ is] a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth[ in] mercy.
