Then Amaziah sent orders to Amos:“ Get out of here, you prophet! Go on back to the land of Judah, and earn your living by prophesying there!

亚玛谢又对阿摩司说：“你这先见哪，要逃往犹大地去，在那里糊口，在那里说预言，

于是亚玛谢对阿摩司说：“你这先见哪，要逃到犹大地，在那里过活，在那里说预言；

于是亚玛谢对阿摩司说：“你这先见哪，要逃到犹大地，在那里过活，在那里说预言；

亚玛谢对我说：“先见啊，走吧！逃回犹大去吧！你要在那里挣吃的，在那里说预言。

亚玛谢对阿摩司说：“你这个先见，走吧！滚回犹大地去；在那里你可以找食，在那里你可以说预言。

亞瑪謝又對阿摩司說：「你這先見哪，要逃往猶大地去，在那裏糊口，在那裏說預言，

於是亞瑪謝對阿摩司說：「你這先見哪，要逃到猶大地，在那裏過活，在那裏說預言；

亞瑪謝對我說：「先見啊，走吧！逃回猶大去吧！你要在那裡掙吃的，在那裡說預言。

亞瑪謝對阿摩司說：“你這個先見，走吧！滾回猶大地去；在那裡你可以找食，在那裡你可以說預言。

亞瑪謝又對阿摩司說：『見異象的人哪、走吧，逃往猶大地去吧！在那裏找口飯喫，在那裏傳神言吧！

亞瑪謝又謂阿摩司曰、先見歟、爾其遁往猶大地、在彼可得餬口、而預言焉、

亞馬謝告亞麼士曰、先見者與、宜循於猶大、在彼可得餬口、宣播言詞、

亞瑪謝謂亞摩斯曰、先見歟、可遁於猶大、在彼可述預言以得餬口、

Then Amaziah said to Amos,“ Get out, you seer! Go back to the land of Judah. Earn your bread there and do your prophesying there.

Then Amaziah said to Amos,“ Get out of Israel, you prophet! Go back to the land of Judah. Earn your living there. Do your prophesying there.

And Amaziah said to Amos,“ O seer, go, flee away to the land of Judah, and eat bread there, and prophesy there,

Then Amaziah said to Amos,“ Go away, you seer! Flee to the land of Judah. Earn your living and give your prophecies there,

Then Amaziah said to Amos,“ Go, you seer, flee to the land of Judah; and eat bread there and do your prophesying there!

Then Amaziah said to Amos:“ Go, you seer! Flee to the land of Judah. There eat bread, And there prophesy.

Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thou away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:

Then Amaziah said to Amos,“ Go away, you seer! Flee to the land of Judah. Earn your living and give your prophecies there,

Amaziah then said to Amos,“ Leave, you visionary! Run away to the land of Judah! Earn your living and prophesy there!

Then the entire town came out to meet Jesus, but they begged him to go away and leave them alone.

( In those days if people wanted a message from God, they would say,“ Let’s go and ask the seer,” for prophets used to be called seers.)

Like greedy dogs, they are never satisfied. They are ignorant shepherds, all following their own path and intent on personal gain.

They tell the seers,“ Stop seeing visions!” They tell the prophets,“ Don’t tell us what is right. Tell us nice things. Tell us lies.

You bring shame on me among my people for a few handfuls of barley or a piece of bread. By lying to my people who love to listen to lies, you kill those who should not die, and you promise life to those who should not live.

Such people are not serving Christ our Lord; they are serving their own personal interests. By smooth talk and glowing words they deceive innocent people.

So they came to the jail and apologized to them. Then they brought them out and begged them to leave the city.

And all the people in the region of the Gerasenes begged Jesus to go away and leave them alone, for a great wave of fear swept over them. So Jesus returned to the boat and left, crossing back to the other side of the lake.The man who had been freed from the demons begged to go with him. But Jesus sent him home, saying,

Asa became so angry with Hanani for saying this that he threw him into prison and put him in stocks. At that time Asa also began to oppress some of his people.

Then all of your surviving family will bow before him, begging for money and food.‘ Please,’ they will say,‘ give us jobs among the priests so we will have enough to eat.’”

But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.

“ How I wish one of you would shut the Temple doors so that these worthless sacrifices could not be offered! I am not pleased with you,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies,“ and I will not accept your offerings.

“ But you caused the Nazirites to sin by making them drink wine, and you commanded the prophets,‘ Shut up!’

Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly— not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God.

At that time some Pharisees said to him,“ Get away from here if you want to live! Herod Antipas wants to kill you!”
