Go to Kalneh and look at it; go from there to great Hamath, and then go down to Gath in Philistia. Are they better off than your two kingdoms? Is their land larger than yours?

Go and look at the city of Kalneh. Go from there to the great city of Hamath. Then go down to Gath in Philistia. Are those places better off than your two kingdoms? Is their land larger than yours?

Pass over to Calneh, and see, and from there go to Hamath the great; then go down to Gath of the Philistines. Are you better than these kingdoms? Or is their territory greater than your territory,

But go over to Calneh and see what happened there. Then go to the great city of Hamath and down to the Philistine city of Gath. You are no better than they were, and look at how they were destroyed.

Cross over to Calneh and see; go from there to great Hamath; then go down to Gath of the Philistines. Are you better than these kingdoms? Is their territory larger than yours?

They say to the people:“ Journey over to Calneh and look at it! Then go from there to Hamath-Rabbah! Then go down to Gath of the Philistines! Are they superior to our two kingdoms? Is their territory larger than yours?”

Go to Calneh, and see; and from there go to Hamath the great; then go down to Gath of the Philistines. are they better than these kingdoms? or is their border greater than your border?

爾豈愈於挪亞門哉、彼居河間、一水縈繞、倚海為塹、以是扞禦、

肇基於巴別、以力、亞甲及示拿地之甲尼。

哈末亞八之上帝安在、西法瓦音、希拿、以瓦之上帝安在、豈得救撒馬利亞邑於我手乎。

往攻非利士人、墮迦特、押尼、亞實突三邑之城、在非利士人亞實突地、別建城垣。

有挑戰者、迦特人、名坷利亞、自非利士人營出、體長六尺有三。

我滅甲呢若迦基密、滅哈末若亞八、滅撒馬利亞、若大馬色、列國之偶像、較耶路撒冷、撒馬利亞尤眾、亦為我所翦滅。撒馬利亞我已滅其國家、毀其偶像、豈不能以此待耶路撒冷乎。

希西家言、爾必見拯於耶和華、爾勿聽焉、四方民所事之上帝、豈得救其國、脫於亞述王手乎、哈末亞八之上帝安在、西法瓦音之上帝安在、豈得救撒馬利亞邑於我手乎、

談言之時、非利士人挑戰者、迦特人坷利亞、自其行伍出、語如前言、為大闢所聞。

以色列族被虜、亞述王使人自巴比倫、古他、亞瓦、哈末、西法瓦音、至撒馬利亞諸邑、據其地、居其城、

巴比倫人作數割庇納像、古他人作匿甲像、哈末人作亞示馬像、

可往基底洲島、而瞻望之、可遣人至基達而省察之、有此事否、列邦之所為上帝、非上帝也、然未嘗有人棄之、我民昔則歸榮於我、今又棄我、以事無益之物。

人子、當問埃及王法老、及其庶民爾有威可畏、誰能比儗。試觀亞述王、若利巴嫩之柏香木、其枝葱蒨、其幹扶疏、其杪高不可及、

哈末亞八、西法瓦音、希拿、以瓦、列王安在。

是時以色列族大眾、自哈末至埃及河、集於我上帝耶和華前、所羅門與民、同守節禮、歷至七日、又至七日、共十四日、

我祖所滅之國、坷散、哈蘭、哩泄、所居提拉撒、埃田族、其上帝豈得救之乎、哈抹、亞八、西法瓦音、希拿、以瓦列王安在。
