可往甲尼而察、自彼往哈末大邑、又下至非利士人之迦特、見彼諸地較此二國尤佳乎、彼之境較爾之境尤廣乎、

Go to Kalneh and look at it; go from there to great Hamath, and then go down to Gath in Philistia. Are they better off than your two kingdoms? Is their land larger than yours?

Go and look at the city of Kalneh. Go from there to the great city of Hamath. Then go down to Gath in Philistia. Are those places better off than your two kingdoms? Is their land larger than yours?

Pass over to Calneh, and see, and from there go to Hamath the great; then go down to Gath of the Philistines. Are you better than these kingdoms? Or is their territory greater than your territory,

But go over to Calneh and see what happened there. Then go to the great city of Hamath and down to the Philistine city of Gath. You are no better than they were, and look at how they were destroyed.

你比挪亚们还强吗？挪亚们位于尼罗河流域，周围有水环绕；海是她的屏障，水作她的墙垣。

他开始建国是在示拿地的巴别、以力、亚甲和甲尼。

迦勒挪不是像迦基米施吗？哈玛不是像亚珥拔吗？撒玛利亚不是像大马士革吗？我的手伸展到这些充满偶像的国，他们雕刻的像比耶路撒冷和撒玛利亚的还多。我怎样对待撒玛利亚和其中的偶像，不也照样对待耶路撒冷和其中的偶像吗？”

你们要小心，免得希西家怂恿你们说：耶和华必拯救我们。列国的神有哪一位曾拯救自己的国土脱离亚述王的手呢？哈马和亚珥拔的神在哪里呢？西法瓦音的神在哪里呢？他们曾拯救撒玛利亚脱离我的手吗？

大卫正与他们说话的时候，那个讨战的人，就是迦特的非利士人，名叫歌利亚，从非利士人阵中上来；他说的又是同样的那些话，大卫都听见了。

亚述王从巴比伦、古他、亚瓦、哈马和西法瓦音带人来，安置在撒玛利亚的城市，代替以色列人。他们就得了撒玛利亚作产业，住在它的城市中。

巴比伦人做了疏割．比讷像，古他人做了匿甲像，哈马人做了亚示玛像，

“你们尽管过到基提海岛察看，派人去基达仔细查考，看看曾有这样的事没有。有哪一国把自己的神换掉呢？其实那些并不是神。我的子民竟把他们的荣耀，换了无益的偶像。

“人子啊！你要对埃及王法老和他的众民说：‘论到你的伟大，谁能与你相比呢？看哪！亚述曾是黎巴嫩的香柏树，枝条秀美，林影茂密，树身高大，树顶在茂密的枝叶之上。

哈马王、亚珥拔王、西法瓦音城的王、希拿王和以瓦王在哪里呢？’”

那时所罗门与从哈马口直到埃及小河的以色列人，都在耶和华我们的神面前举行盛大的集会，守节七天，又七天，一共十四天。

我列祖所毁灭的国，有歌撒、哈兰、利色和在提．拉撒的伊甸人，这些国的神曾拯救她们吗？哈马的王、亚珥拔的王、西法瓦音城的王、希拿和以瓦的王，现在都在哪里呢？”
