Horses don’t run on rocky ground. People don’t plow the sea with oxen. But you have turned fair treatment into poison. You have turned the fruit of right living into bitterness.

Do horses run on rocks? Does one plow there with oxen? But you have turned justice into poison and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood—

Can horses gallop over boulders? Can oxen be used to plow them? But that’s how foolish you are when you turn justice into poison and the sweet fruit of righteousness into bitterness.

Do horses gallop on the cliffs? Does anyone plow there with oxen? Yet you have turned justice into poison and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood—

你們這使公平變為茵蔯，將公義丟棄於地的人哪！

所以，因你們踐踏貧寒人，向他們勒索糧稅；你們雖建造石鑿的房屋，卻不得住在其內；雖栽植美好的葡萄園，卻不得喝其中所出的酒。我知道你們的罪過何其多，你們的罪惡何其大；你們迫害義人，收受賄賂，在城門口屈枉貧窮人。

他們講空話，以假誓立約；因此，懲罰如苦菜滋生在田間的犁溝中。

就是悖逆，否認耶和華，轉去不跟從我們的神，口說欺壓和叛逆的話，心懷謊言，隨即說出；公平轉而退後，公義站在遠處，誠實仆倒在廣場上，正直不得進入；

耶洗別王后對王說：「你現在是不是治理以色列國呢？只管起來，心裏暢暢快快地吃飯，我會把耶斯列人拿伯的葡萄園給你。」於是王后以亞哈的名義寫信，蓋上王的印，把信送給那些與拿伯同城居住的長老和貴族。她在信上寫着說：「你們當宣告禁食，叫拿伯坐在百姓的高位上，又叫兩個無賴坐在拿伯對面，作證告他說：『你詛咒了神和王。』然後把他拉出去用石頭打死。」那些與拿伯同城居住的長老和貴族，照耶洗別送給他們的信去做。正如她送的信上所寫，他們宣告禁食，叫拿伯坐在百姓的高位上。有兩個無賴來，坐在拿伯對面。無賴當着百姓作證告他說：「拿伯詛咒神和王了！」眾人就把他拉到城外，用石頭打他，他就死了。

他們卻不留意；聳肩悖逆，耳朵發沉，不肯聽從。他們的心堅硬如金剛石，不聽律法和萬軍之耶和華藉着他的靈差遣從前先知所說的話。因此，萬軍之耶和華大發烈怒。

你們耕種奸惡，收割罪孽，吃的是謊言的果實。因你倚靠自己的行為，仰賴你眾多的勇士，

「你們這硬着頸項，心與耳未受割禮的人哪，時常抗拒聖靈！你們的祖宗怎樣，你們也怎樣。先知中有哪一個不是受你們祖宗的迫害呢？他們把預先宣告那義者要來的人殺了。如今你們成了那義者的出賣者和兇手了。

你為何使我看見罪孽？你為何坐視奸惡呢？毀滅和兇暴在我面前，爭執與紛爭不斷發生。因此律法無效，公理從未彰顯。惡人圍困義人，所以公理遭受扭曲。

耶和華啊，你的眼目不是在尋找誠實嗎？你擊打他們，他們卻不傷慟；你摧毀他們，他們仍不領受管教。他們使臉剛硬過於磐石，不肯回頭。

那藉着律例玩弄奸惡、以權位肆行殘害的，豈能與你交往呢？他們大家聚集攻擊義人，將無辜的人定了死罪。

風箱吹火，鉛被燒燬，煉而又煉，終是徒然，因為惡劣的還未除掉。人必稱他們為被拋棄的銀子，因為耶和華已經拋棄了他們。

他們雙手善於作惡，君王和審判官都索取賄賂；位高的人吐出心中的慾望，彼此勾結。

因為我知道你是頑梗的；你的頸項是鐵的，你的額頭是銅的。
