Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel:[ and] because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.

“ Therefore this is what I will do to you, Israel, and because I will do this to you, Israel, prepare to meet your God.”

“ So, people of Israel, I will judge you. Because I will do that to you, Israel, prepare to meet your God!”

“ Therefore thus I will do to you, O Israel; because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, O Israel!”

“ Therefore, I will bring upon you all the disasters I have announced. Prepare to meet your God in judgment, you people of Israel!”

Therefore, Israel, that is what I will do to you, and since I will do that to you, Israel, prepare to meet your God!

“ Therefore so I will do to you, Israel; Because I will do this to you, Prepare to meet your God, Israel.”

“ Therefore thus will I do to you, O Israel; Because I will do this to you, Prepare to meet your God, O Israel!”

Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel; and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.

Therefore, Israel, that is what I will do to you, and since I will do that to you, Israel, prepare to meet your God!

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

From whence[ come] wars and fightings among you?[ come they] not hence,[ even] of your lusts that war in your members?Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume[ it] upon your lusts.Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse[ your] hands,[ ye] sinners; and purify[ your] hearts,[ ye] double minded.Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and[ your] joy to heaviness.Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

But of that day and[ that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.[ For the Son of man is] as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.

The Lord GOD hath sworn by his holiness, that, lo, the days shall come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fishhooks.And ye shall go out at the breaches, every[ cow at that which is] before her; and ye shall cast[ them] into the palace, saith the LORD.

And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,[ As for] these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign[ will there be] when these things shall come to pass?And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am[ Christ]; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end[ is] not by and by.Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute[ you], delivering[ you] up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.And it shall turn to you for a testimony.Settle[ it] therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and[ some] of you shall they cause to be put to death.And ye shall be hated of all[ men] for my name’s sake.But there shall not an hair of your head perish.In your patience possess ye your souls.And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and[ so] that day come upon you unawares.For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

I will meet them as a bear[ that is] bereaved[ of her whelps], and will rend the caul of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them.

Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet[ thee as] a man.

Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.

For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:But seek not Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beersheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nought.Seek the LORD, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour[ it], and[ there be] none to quench[ it] in Bethel.Ye who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off righteousness in the earth,[ Seek him] that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD[ is] his name:That strengtheneth the spoiled against the strong, so that the spoiled shall come against the fortress.They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.Forasmuch therefore as your treading[ is] upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them.For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate[ from their right].Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it[ is] an evil time.Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?Blessed[ is] that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;And shall begin to smite[ his] fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for[ him], and in an hour that he is not aware of,And shall cut him asunder, and appoint[ him] his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.And five of them were wise, and five[ were] foolish.They that[ were] foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.But the wise answered, saying,[ Not so]; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.

Therefore the flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver himself:

Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
