“ Now listen to this, and announce it throughout all Israel,” says the Lord, the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies.

“ Hear this and testify against the descendants of Jacob,” declares the Lord, the Lord God Almighty.

“ Listen to me,” announces the Lord.“ Be a witness against the people of Jacob,” says the Lord God who rules over all.

“ Hear, and testify against the house of Jacob,” declares the Lord God, the God of hosts,

Listen and testify against the house of Jacob— this is the declaration of the Lord GOD, the God of Armies.

Hear ye, and testify against the house of Jacob, saith the Lord Jehovah, the God of hosts.

Listen and testify against the house of Jacob— this is the declaration of the Lord God, the God of Hosts.

Hear ye, and testify in the house of Jacob, saith the Lord GOD, the God of hosts,

Listen and warn the family of Jacob! The sovereign LORD, the God who commands armies, is speaking!

“ Listen, and testify against the house of Jacob,” says the Lord Yahweh, the God of Armies.

And after Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul spent all his time preaching the word. He testified to the Jews that Jesus was the Messiah.But when they opposed and insulted him, Paul shook the dust from his clothes and said,“ Your blood is upon your own heads— I am innocent. From now on I will go preach to the Gentiles.”

You must give them my messages whether they listen or not. But they won’t listen, for they are completely rebellious!

Therefore, the Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the Mighty One of Israel, says,“ I will take revenge on my enemies and pay back my foes!

then I warn you now that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live a long, good life in the land you are crossing the Jordan to occupy.“ Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!

“ But I assure you of this: If you ever forget the Lord your God and follow other gods, worshiping and bowing down to them, you will certainly be destroyed.

Then Peter continued preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners,“ Save yourselves from this crooked generation!”

Yet the Lord sent prophets to bring them back to him. The prophets warned them, but still the people would not listen.

So I will send you into exile, to a land east of Damascus,” says the Lord, whose name is the God of Heaven’s Armies.

Never harm or cheat a fellow believer in this matter by violating his wife, for the Lord avenges all such sins, as we have solemnly warned you before.

They rejected his decrees and the covenant he had made with their ancestors, and they despised all his warnings. They worshiped worthless idols, so they became worthless themselves. They followed the example of the nations around them, disobeying the Lord’s command not to imitate them.

“ The Lord, the Mighty One, is God! The Lord, the Mighty One, is God! He knows the truth, and may Israel know it, too! We have not built the altar in treacherous rebellion against the Lord. If we have done so, do not spare our lives this day.

With the Lord’s authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused.

I have had one message for Jews and Greeks alike— the necessity of repenting from sin and turning to God, and of having faith in our Lord Jesus.

Again and again the Lord had sent his prophets and seers to warn both Israel and Judah:“ Turn from all your evil ways. Obey my commands and decrees— the entire law that I commanded your ancestors to obey, and that I gave you through my servants the prophets.”
