耶和華如此說：「牧人怎樣從獅子口中搶回兩條腿或耳朵的一小片，住撒瑪利亞的以色列人得救也是如此，不過搶回床的一角和床榻的靠枕而已。」

耶和華又曰、譬彼牧童、脫羊二足一耳、出於獅口、以色列族居撒馬利亞及大馬色、若偃卧於床隅、必蒙救援亦若是、

This is what the Lord says:“ As a shepherd rescues from the lion’s mouth only two leg bones or a piece of an ear, so will the Israelites living in Samaria be rescued, with only the head of a bed and a piece of fabric from a couch.”

The Lord says,“ Suppose a shepherd saves only two leg bones from a lion’s mouth. Or he might save only a piece of an ear. That is how the Israelites living in Samaria will be saved. They will only have a board from a bed and a piece of cloth from a couch.”

Thus says the Lord:“ As the shepherd rescues from the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear, so shall the people of Israel who dwell in Samaria be rescued, with the corner of a couch and part of a bed.

This is what the Lord says:“ A shepherd who tries to rescue a sheep from a lion’s mouth will recover only two legs or a piece of an ear. So it will be for the Israelites in Samaria lying on luxurious beds, and for the people of Damascus reclining on couches.

The LORD says: As the shepherd snatches two legs or a piece of an ear from the lion’s mouth, so the Israelites who live in Samaria will be rescued with only the corner of a bed or the cushion of a couch.

This is what the Lord says:“ Just as the shepherd snatches from the lion’s mouth a couple of legs or a piece of an ear, So will the sons of Israel living in Samaria be snatched away— With the corner of a bed and the cover of a couch!

Thus says the Lord:“ As a shepherd takes from the mouth of a lion Two legs or a piece of an ear, So shall the children of Israel be taken out Who dwell in Samaria— In the corner of a bed and on the edge of a couch!

Thus saith Jehovah: As the shepherd rescueth out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear, so shall the children of Israel be rescued that sit in Samaria in the corner of a couch, and on the silken cushions of a bed.

The Lord says: As the shepherd snatches two legs or a piece of an ear from the lion’s mouth, so the Israelites who live in Samaria will be rescued with only the corner of a bed or the cushion of a couch.

Thus saith the LORD; As the shepherd taketh out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear; so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed, and in Damascus[ in] a couch.

This is what the LORD says:“ Just as a shepherd salvages from the lion’s mouth a couple of leg bones or a piece of an ear, so the Israelites who live in Samaria will be salvaged. They will be left with just a corner of a bed, and a part of a couch.”

Yahweh says:“ As the shepherd rescues out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear, so shall the children of Israel be rescued who sit in Samaria on the corner of a couch, and on the silken cushions of a bed.”

「那些躺臥在象牙床上，舒身在榻上的，吃羣中的羔羊和棚裏的牛犢。

大衛對掃羅說：「你僕人為父親放羊，有時獅子來了，有時熊來了，從羣中抓走一隻羔羊。我就追趕牠，擊打牠，把羔羊從牠口中救出來。牠起來攻擊我，我就揪牠的鬍子，打死牠。你僕人曾打死獅子和熊，這未受割禮的非利士人必像獅子和熊一樣，因為他向永生神的軍隊罵陣。」大衛又說：「耶和華救我脫離獅子和熊的爪，他必救我脫離這非利士人的手。」掃羅對大衛說：「你去吧！耶和華必與你同在。」

因為在這孩子還不曉得叫爸爸媽媽以前，大馬士革的財寶和撒瑪利亞的擄物必被亞述王掠奪一空。」

耶和華對我如此說，獅子和少壯獅子為獵物而咆哮，許多牧人被召來攻擊牠，牠總不因他們的聲音驚惶，也不因他們的喧嚷退縮；萬軍之耶和華也必如此降臨在錫安的大小山岡上爭戰。

但神的指示是怎麼對他說的呢？他說：「我為自己留下七千人，是未曾向巴力屈膝的。」現在這時刻也是這樣，照着出於恩典的揀選，還有所留的餘數。

米該雅說：「看哪，你進入嚴密的內室躲藏的那日，就必看見。」

便‧哈達對王說：「我父從你父那裏所奪的城鎮，我必歸還給你。你可以在大馬士革為你自己設立街市，像我父在撒瑪利亞所設立的一樣。」亞哈說：「我照此立約，放你回去。」王就與他立約，放了他。

「雖然他們挖透陰間，我的手必從那裏拉出他們；雖然他們爬到天上，我必從那裏拿下他們；雖然藏在迦密山頂，我必在那裏搜尋，擒拿他們；雖然離開我眼前藏在海底，我必在那裏命令蛇咬他們；

亞述王答應了他，上去攻打大馬士革，攻下了城，殺了利汛，把居民擄到吉珥。

論大馬士革的默示。看哪，大馬士革不再為城市，變為廢墟。亞羅珥的城鎮被撇棄，將成為牧羊之處，羊羣在那裏躺臥，無人使牠們驚嚇。以法蓮不再有堡壘，大馬士革失去其王國，亞蘭的百姓所剩無幾，如以色列人的榮美消失一般；這是萬軍之耶和華說的。到那日，雅各的榮美必失色，它肥胖的身軀漸漸消瘦；

其餘的都逃向亞弗，到了城裏，城牆倒塌，壓死了剩下的二萬七千人。便‧哈達也逃入城內，藏在嚴密的內室裏。
