This is what the Lord says:“ For three sins of Gaza, even for four, I will not relent. Because she took captive whole communities and sold them to Edom,

The LORD says: I will not relent from punishing Gaza for three crimes, even four, because they exiled a whole community, handing them over to Edom.

This is what the Lord says:“ For three offenses of Gaza, and for four, I will not revoke its punishment, Because they led into exile an entire population To turn them over to Edom.

Thus says the Lord:“ For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, Because they took captive the whole captivity To deliver them up to Edom.

Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Gaza, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole people, to deliver them up to Edom:

The Lord says: I will not relent from punishing Gaza for three crimes, even four, because they exiled a whole community, handing them over to Edom.

This is what the LORD says:“ Because Gaza has committed three crimes– make that four!– I will not revoke my decree of judgment. They deported a whole community and sold them to Edom.

Yahweh says:“ For three transgressions of Gaza, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment; because they carried away captive the whole community, to deliver them up to Edom;

非利士人也入侵丘陵和猶大南方的城鎮，攻佔了伯·示麥、亞雅崙、基低羅，以及梭哥、亭拿、瑾鎖和三城周圍的村莊，並住在那裡。

亞實基倫見狀必陷入恐懼，迦薩見狀必充滿痛苦，以革倫見狀必希望破滅。迦薩必失去君王，亞實基倫必荒無人煙。

因為毀滅所有非利士人的日子到了，剷除泰爾和西頓剩餘幫手的日子到了。耶和華要滅絕迦斐托島剩餘的非利士人。迦薩一片荒涼，亞實基倫淪為廢墟。谷中的餘民啊！你們要割傷身體到何時呢？

並把猶大和耶路撒冷的居民賣給希臘人，使他們遠離家鄉。

耶和華說：「大馬士革人三番四次地犯罪，我必不收回對他們的懲罰，因為他們用打糧食的鐵器蹂躪基列。

非利士人啊，不要因擊打你們的杖已經折斷便高興。因為那杖就像一條蛇，必生出一條更危險的蛇，一條會飛的毒蛇。貧窮人必衣食無憂，困苦人必安然度日，但我必用饑荒除掉你們的子孫，消滅你們殘存的人。城門啊，哀號吧！城邑啊，哭喊吧！非利士人啊，戰抖吧！因為有陣容整齊的軍隊從北方如塵煙滾滾而來。

迦薩必被拋棄，亞實基倫必淪為廢墟，亞實突的居民必在中午被趕走，以革倫必被連根拔除。住在海邊的基利提人啊，你們有禍了！非利士人的土地——迦南啊，耶和華宣告要毀滅你，使你杳無人煙。沿海地區必成為草場，有牧人的居所和羊圈。那裡必歸給猶大家的餘民，他們必在那裡放牧，晚上睡在亞實基倫的房屋裡，因為他們的上帝耶和華必眷顧他們，使他們回到故土。

因為你永懷仇恨，在以色列人遭遇危難、因罪惡受盡刑罰的時候，把他們交在刀下。

在法老攻打迦薩之前，耶和華告訴了耶利米先知有關非利士人的事。

耶和華驅使非利士人和古實附近的阿拉伯人攻打約蘭。他們起兵攻打猶大，侵入境內，擄走了王宮裡的所有財物以及約蘭的兒子和妻妾，只留下他最小的兒子約哈斯。

「主耶和華說，『非利士人心存仇恨，為了報世仇要毀滅猶大，所以我必伸手攻擊他們，剷除基利提人，毀滅沿海殘餘的人。

有一天，主的天使對腓利說：「起來，向南走，往耶路撒冷通往迦薩的路去。」那條路很荒涼。
