有人在这城里逼迫你们，就逃到那城里去。我实在告诉你们，以色列的城邑，你们还没有走遍，人子就到了。

从这日起，耶路撒冷的教会大遭逼迫，除了使徒以外，门徒都分散在犹太和撒玛利亚各处。

那些因司提反的事遭患难四散的门徒直走到腓尼基和塞浦路斯，并安提阿；他们不向别人讲道，只向犹太人讲。

但那不顺从的犹太人耸动外邦人，叫他们心里恼恨弟兄。二人在那里住了多日，倚靠主放胆讲道，主藉他们的手施行神迹奇事，证明他的恩道。城里的众人就分了党，有附从犹太人的，有附从使徒的。那时，外邦人和犹太人，并他们的官长，一齐拥上来，要凌辱使徒，用石头打他们。使徒知道了，就逃往吕高尼的路司得、特庇两个城和周围地方去，在那里传福音。

但保罗和巴拿巴仍住在安提阿，和许多别人一同教训人，传主的道。

我们从前在腓立比被害受辱，这是你们知道的；然而还是靠我们的神放开胆量，在大争战中把神的福音传给你们。
