“ How can I,” he said,“ unless someone explains it to me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

The man replied,“ How can I, unless someone instructs me?” And he urged Philip to come up into the carriage and sit with him.

And he said,“ Well, how could I, unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

And he said,“ How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him.

And he said, How can I, except some one shall guide me? And he besought Philip to come up and sit with him.

And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

The man replied,“ How in the world can I, unless someone guides me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? (niv)

Good and upright is the Lord; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. (niv)

In that day the deaf will hear the words of the scroll, and out of gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind will see.Once more the humble will rejoice in the Lord; the needy will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. (niv)

When I tried to understand all this, it troubled me deeplytill I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny. (niv)

Those who think they know something do not yet know as they ought to know. (niv)

And he said:“ Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. (niv)

So Naaman went with his horses and chariots and stopped at the door of Elisha’s house. (niv)

Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become“ fools” so that you may become wise. (niv)

But the rich should take pride in their humiliation— since they will pass away like a wild flower. (niv)

Or did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached?If anyone thinks they are a prophet or otherwise gifted by the Spirit, let them acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord’s command. (niv)

Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. (niv)

Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” (niv)

Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind.Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, (niv)

And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it. (niv)

I was senseless and ignorant; I was a brute beast before you. (niv)

But Elisha said to him,“ Was not my spirit with you when the man got down from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to take money or to accept clothes— or olive groves and vineyards, or flocks and herds, or male and female slaves? (niv)

After he left there, he came upon Jehonadab son of Rekab, who was on his way to meet him. Jehu greeted him and said,“ Are you in accord with me, as I am with you?”“ I am,” Jehonadab answered.“ If so,” said Jehu,“ give me your hand.” So he did, and Jehu helped him up into the chariot.Jehu said,“ Come with me and see my zeal for the Lord.” Then he had him ride along in his chariot.
