Then Peter said,“ Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land?

彼得說：「亞拿尼亞！為甚麼撒但充滿了你的心，叫你欺哄聖靈，把田地的價銀私自留下幾分呢？

彼得說：“亞拿尼亞，為甚麼撒但充滿了你的心，使你欺騙聖靈，私底下把賣地的錢留了一部分呢？

彼得說：『亞拿尼亞，為甚麼撒但充滿了你的心，以致你撒謊騙聖靈，從園地的價錢中私拿幾分呢？

彼得就說：「阿納尼亞，為什麼撒旦充滿了你的心，使你對聖靈說謊，從田產的價款中私自留下一些呢？

彼得曰、亞拿尼亞乎、胡為撒但充爾心、以欺聖神、私留田值耶、

彼得曰、亞拿尼亞胡為撒但惑爾心、潛藏售田數金、以欺聖神耶、

彼得曰、亞拿尼亞、何為撒但迷爾心、使爾欺聖神、匿田價數分、

伯鐸祿曰：『亞拿尼亞爾何沙殫蒙心、私藏所得、以欺聖神乎？

Then Peter said,“ Ananias, why did you let Satan fill your heart? He made you lie to the Holy Spirit. You have kept some of the money you received for the land.

But Peter said,“ Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back for yourself part of the proceeds of the land?

Then Peter said,“ Ananias, why have you let Satan fill your heart? You lied to the Holy Spirit, and you kept some of the money for yourself.

“ Ananias,” Peter asked,“ why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the proceeds of the land?

But Peter said,“ Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the proceeds of the land?

But Peter said,“ Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?

But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thy heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

Then Peter said,“ Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the proceeds from the field?

But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back[ part] of the price of the land?

But Peter said,“ Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back for yourself part of the proceeds from the sale of the land?

But Peter said,“ Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the price of the land?

Woe to those who go to great depths to hide their plans from the Lord, who do their work in darkness and think,“ Who sees us? Who will know?”

Peter said to her,“ How could you conspire to test the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also.”

Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the Lord.“ Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord.

As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him. So Jesus told him,“ What you are about to do, do quickly.”

The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus.

With his wife’s full knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself, but brought the rest and put it at the apostles’ feet.

They say,“ The Lord does not see; the God of Jacob takes no notice.”Take notice, you senseless ones among the people; you fools, when will you become wise?Does he who fashioned the ear not hear? Does he who formed the eye not see?

Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.”

Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve.

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Yet you say,‘ What does God know? Does he judge through such darkness?

When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

When a man makes a vow to the Lord or takes an oath to obligate himself by a pledge, he must not break his word but must do everything he said.

If you make a vow to the Lord your God, do not be slow to pay it, for the Lord your God will certainly demand it of you and you will be guilty of sin.

The great dragon was hurled down— that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:“ Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

The tempter came to him and said,“ If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”Jesus answered,“ It is written:‘ Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.“ If you are the Son of God,” he said,“ throw yourself down. For it is written:“‘ He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”Jesus answered him,“ It is also written:‘ Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.“ All this I will give you,” he said,“ if you will bow down and worship me.”Jesus said to him,“ Away from me, Satan! For it is written:‘ Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’”Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

Ephraim has surrounded me with lies, Israel with deceit. And Judah is unruly against God, even against the faithful Holy One.

When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path.

Finally, a spirit came forward, stood before the Lord and said,‘ I will entice him.’“‘ By what means?’ the Lord asked.“‘ I will go out and be a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,’ he said.“‘ You will succeed in enticing him,’ said the Lord.‘ Go and do it.’

Then the Lord God said to the woman,“ What is this you have done?” The woman said,“ The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”So the Lord God said to the serpent,“ Because you have done this,“ Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”To the woman he said,“ I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”To Adam he said,“ Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you,‘ You must not eat from it,’“ Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life.

you, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal?You who say that people should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?

Satan rose up against Israel and incited David to take a census of Israel.So David said to Joab and the commanders of the troops,“ Go and count the Israelites from Beersheba to Dan. Then report back to me so that I may know how many there are.”But Joab replied,“ May the Lord multiply his troops a hundred times over. My lord the king, are they not all my lord’s subjects? Why does my lord want to do this? Why should he bring guilt on Israel?”

It is a trap to dedicate something rashly and only later to consider one’s vows.
