“ My fellow Israelites, I know you didn’t realize what you were doing. Neither did your leaders.

弟兄们，我晓得你们做这事是出于不知，你们的官长也是如此。

“如今，弟兄们，我知道你们做这事是出于无知，你们的官长也是如此。

“如今，弟兄们，我知道你们做这事是出于无知，你们的官长也是如此。

“弟兄们，我知道你们的所作所为是出于无知，你们的官长也是一样。

弟兄们，我知道你们所作的，是出于无知，你们的官长也是这样。

“同胞们，现在我知道，你们所做的是出于愚昧无知，就像你们的首领那样。

弟兄們，我曉得你們做這事是出於不知，你們的官長也是如此。

兄弟乎！吾知爾之所為、誠出無知、有司亦然、

“ Now, fellow Israelites, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your leaders.

“ And now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did also your rulers.

“ Friends, I realize that what you and your leaders did to Jesus was done in ignorance.

“ And now, brothers and sisters, I know that you acted in ignorance, just as your leaders also did.

“ And now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, just as your rulers also did.

“ Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers.

And now, brethren, I know that in ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.

“ And now, brothers, I know that you did it in ignorance, just as your leaders also did.

And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did[ it], as[ did] also your rulers.

And now, brothers, I know you acted in ignorance, as your rulers did too.

“ Now, brothers, I know that you did this in ignorance, as did also your rulers.

The people of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize Jesus. By finding him guilty, they made the prophets’ words come true. These are read every Sabbath day.

Jesus said,“ Father, forgive them. They don’t know what they are doing.” The soldiers divided up his clothes by casting lots.

I used to speak evil things against Jesus. I tried to hurt his followers. I really pushed them around. But God showed me mercy anyway. I did those things without knowing any better. I wasn’t a believer.

They will do things like that because they do not know the Father or me.

None of the rulers of this world understood God’s wisdom. If they had, they would not have nailed the Lord of glory to the cross.

Suppose I go on living in my body. Then I will be able to carry on my work. It will bear a lot of fruit. But what should I choose? I don’t know!

But Abimelek said,“ I don’t know who has done this. You didn’t tell me. And today is the first time I heard about it.”

But he refused.“ My master has put me in charge,” he told her.“ Now he doesn’t have to worry about anything in the house. He trusts me to take care of everything he owns.

Suppose the community sins without meaning to. And suppose they do not know they have sinned. Then the whole community must offer a young bull. They must sacrifice it for a burnt offering. Its smell will please the Lord. Along with it, they must offer its required grain offering and drink offering. They must also sacrifice a male goat for a sin offering.With it the priest will pay for the sin of the whole community of Israel. Then they will be forgiven. They did not mean to commit that sin. And they have presented to the Lord a food offering for the wrong thing they did. They have brought a sin offering with it.The Lord will forgive the whole community of Israel and the outsiders living among them. All the people had a part in the sin, even though they did not mean to do it.“‘ But suppose just one person sins without meaning to. Then that person must bring a female goat for a sin offering. It must be a year old.With it the priest will pay for the person’s sin in front of the Lord. The priest will do it for the one who did wrong by sinning without meaning to. When the sin is paid for, that person will be forgiven.The same law applies to everyone who sins without meaning to. It does not matter whether they are an Israelite or an outsider.“‘ But suppose someone sins on purpose. It does not matter whether they are an Israelite or an outsider. They speak evil things against the Lord. They must be separated from the community of Israel.They have not respected what the Lord has said. They have broken the Lord’ s commands. They must certainly be separated from the community. They are still guilty.’ ”

Here he is! He is speaking openly. They aren’t saying a word to him. Have the authorities really decided that he is the Messiah?But we know where this man is from. When the Messiah comes, no one will know where he is from.”

The people saw that Moses took a long time to come down from the mountain. So they gathered around Aaron. They said to him,“ Come. Make us a god that will lead us. This fellow Moses brought us up out of Egypt. But we don’t know what has happened to him.”

They told Aaron,‘ Make us a god who will lead us. This fellow Moses brought us up out of Egypt. But we don’t know what has happened to him!’( Exodus 32:1)

“ I believed that I should oppose the name of Jesus of Nazareth. So I did everything I could to oppose his name.

Joseph said to them,“ What have you done? Don’t you know that a man like me has ways to find things out?”

God didn’t turn his back on his people. After all, he chose them. Don’t you know what Scripture says about Elijah? He complained to God about Israel.

They replied,“ Are you from Galilee too? Look into it. You will find that a prophet does not come out of Galilee.”

But their minds were made stubborn. To this day, the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. The veil has not been removed. Only faith in Christ can take it away.

So come and put a curse on these people. They are too powerful for me. Maybe I’ll be able to win the battle over them. Maybe I’ll be able to drive them out of the land. I know that whoever you bless is blessed. And I know that whoever you cursed is cursed.”
