往告此民曰、爾將聽而不聰、視而不明、

往告此民曰、爾將耳聞而不聰、目視而不明、

其言云、往告此民曰、爾將聽而不聰、視而不明、

其言曰：「往告斯民曰、爾聽而不悟、視而不見；

“‘ Go to this people and say,“ You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.”

“‘ Go to your people. Say to them,“ You will hear but never understand. You will see but never know what you are seeing.”

“‘ Go to this people, and say,“ You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never perceive.”

‘ Go and say to this people: When you hear what I say, you will not understand. When you see what I do, you will not comprehend.

when he said, Go to these people and say: You will always be listening, but never understanding; and you will always be looking, but never perceiving.

除了我僕人以外，有誰是瞎眼的？有誰像我所派遣的使者那樣是耳聾的？有誰像我所揀選的人那樣是瞎眼的，有誰像耶和華的僕人那樣是瞎眼的？你們看見許多事，卻沒有留意；耳朵開著，卻沒有聽見。」

這是為要使『他們看了又看，卻不明白，聽了又聽，卻不領悟，免得他們回轉過來，就被赦免。』」

在他們身上，正應驗了以賽亞的預言，他說：『你們將聽了又聽，但絕不會領悟；你們將看了又看，但絕不會明白；因為這子民的心麻木了，他們充耳不聞，眼睛閉著；免得他們眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裡領悟，回轉過來，我就使他們痊癒。』

他說：「神國的奧祕已經賜下來讓你們知道，但是對其他的人就用比喻。這是為要使『他們看，卻看不見；聽，卻不領悟。』

對於他們，這世代的神把這些不信之人的心眼弄瞎了，使他們不能洞察基督榮耀的福音之光。基督就是神的形像。實際上，我們不是傳揚自己，而是傳揚主耶穌基督，並且為了耶穌的緣故，我們自己做了你們的奴僕；因為那吩咐「要有光從黑暗裡照耀出來」的神，已經照耀了我們的心，為要發出神榮耀的知識之光——這光就在耶穌基督的臉上。

於是耶穌開啟他們的理性，使他們能領悟經上的話，

耶穌對他們說：「唉，你們這些無知的人哪！對於信靠先知們所說的一切話，你們的心太遲鈍了！

耶穌知道了，就問他們：「你們為什麼討論沒有餅的事呢？你們還不明白，還不領悟，還是硬著心嗎？你們有眼睛卻看不見，有耳朵卻聽不見嗎？難道不記得嗎？

正如經上所記：「神給了他們昏迷的心靈、看不見的眼睛、聽不見的耳朵，直到今天。」大衛也說：「讓他們的筵席成為網羅、陷阱、絆腳石，又成為他們的報應。讓他們的眼睛昏暗不能看。讓他們的腰背永遠彎曲。」

因此，看哪，我要再次向這子民行奇妙的事，是奇妙又奇妙的事；他們智慧人的智慧必會消亡，有悟性之人的悟性必被隱藏！」

這是為要應驗先知以賽亞所說的話：「主啊，我們所傳的，有誰相信了？主的膀臂，向誰顯示了？」他們之所以不能相信，是因為以賽亞又說過：「神使他們瞎了眼，硬了心，免得他們眼睛看見，心裡明白，回轉過來，我就使他們痊癒。」

然而我的子民不聽我的聲音，以色列不願意順從我。我就任憑他們心裡頑固，隨自己的計謀而行。

而是因為耶和華用沉睡的靈澆灌你們；他封閉了你們的眼睛，就是眾先知；他蒙住了你們的頭，就是眾先見。

因此，我要選擇折磨他們的事，使他們所恐懼的臨到他們。因為我呼喚，沒有人回應；我說話，他們不聽從；他們做我眼中看為惡的事，選擇我所不喜悅的事。」
