Therefore, having obtained help from God, to this day I stand, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other things than those which the prophets and Moses said would come—

然我蒙天主祐、至今猶存、在尊者卑者前作證、所言無非諸先知及摩西預言、將來必有之事、

然予托天主佑、至今猶屹立無恙、向天下生靈、無分貴賤大小、而作證焉。所陳者莫非古先知與摩西預言必成之事、

But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen—

To this day I have had the help that comes from God, and so I stand here testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would come to pass:

But this I confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets.

And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.

Then He said to them,“ These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.”

For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me.

To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.”

They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying:“ Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints!

All nations surrounded me, But in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.They surrounded me, Yes, they surrounded me; But in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.They surrounded me like bees; They were quenched like a fire of thorns; For in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.You pushed me violently, that I might fall, But the Lord helped me.

Then Jews from Antioch and Iconium came there; and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing him to be dead.However, when the disciples gathered around him, he rose up and went into the city. And the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.

Now as they were seeking to kill him, news came to the commander of the garrison that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.He immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran down to them. And when they saw the commander and the soldiers, they stopped beating Paul.Then the commander came near and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains; and he asked who he was and what he had done.

“ If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,” Let Israel now say—“ If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, When men rose up against us,Then they would have swallowed us alive, When their wrath was kindled against us;

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.

You have caused men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.

Abraham said to him,‘ They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’And he said,‘ No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’But he said to him,‘ If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’”

For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Philip found Nathanael and said to him,“ We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote— Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

So when Paul’s sister’s son heard of their ambush, he went and entered the barracks and told Paul.Then Paul called one of the centurions to him and said,“ Take this young man to the commander, for he has something to tell him.”So he took him and brought him to the commander and said,“ Paul the prisoner called me to him and asked me to bring this young man to you. He has something to say to you.”Then the commander took him by the hand, went aside, and asked privately,“ What is it that you have to tell me?”And he said,“ The Jews have agreed to ask that you bring Paul down to the council tomorrow, as though they were going to inquire more fully about him.But do not yield to them, for more than forty of them lie in wait for him, men who have bound themselves by an oath that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him; and now they are ready, waiting for the promise from you.”So the commander let the young man depart, and commanded him,“ Tell no one that you have revealed these things to me.”

It is God who avenges me, And subdues the peoples under me;

And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers.

Then Peter answered and said to Jesus,“ Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying,“ This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!”

Then we departed from the river of Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month, to go to Jerusalem. And the hand of our God was upon us, and He delivered us from the hand of the enemy and from ambush along the road.

Now when there arose a great dissension, the commander, fearing lest Paul might be pulled to pieces by them, commanded the soldiers to go down and take him by force from among them, and bring him into the barracks.But the following night the Lord stood by him and said,“ Be of good cheer, Paul; for as you have testified for Me in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness at Rome.”

Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen, and called its name Ebenezer, saying,“ Thus far the Lord has helped us.”

But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.

Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,

how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house,testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.And see, now I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will happen to me there,except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that chains and tribulations await me.But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.“ And indeed, now I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, will see my face no more.Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men.For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.

Then He said to them,“ Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,

So when they had appointed him a day, many came to him at his lodging, to whom he explained and solemnly testified of the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus from both the Law of Moses and the Prophets, from morning till evening.

I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you,

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

Now the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision,“ Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent;for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city.”

whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.For Moses truly said to the fathers,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you.And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’Yes, and all the prophets, from Samuel and those who follow, as many as have spoken, have also foretold these days.

For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of our trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life.Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead,who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us,

The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth.”

But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!

And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.

persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra— what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me.
