Then the high priest and the chief of the Jews informed him against Paul, and besought him,

where the chief priests and the Jewish leaders appeared before him and presented the charges against Paul.

There the chief priests and the Jewish leaders came to Festus. They brought their charges against Paul.

And the chief priests and the principal men of the Jews laid out their case against Paul, and they urged him,

where the leading priests and other Jewish leaders met with him and made their accusations against Paul.

The chief priests and the leaders of the Jews presented their case against Paul to him; and they appealed,

So the chief priests and the most prominent men of the Jews brought formal charges against Paul to him.

Then the high priest and the principal men of the Jews informed him against Paul, and they begged him,

About whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed[ me], desiring[ to have] judgment against him.

And after five days Ananias the high priest descended with the elders, and[ with] a certain orator[ named] Tertullus, who informed the governor against Paul.

For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause[ some] to fall.

If the men of my tabernacle said not, Oh that we had of his flesh! we cannot be satisfied.

They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.Their throat[ is] an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps[ is] under their lips:Whose mouth[ is] full of cursing and bitterness:Their feet[ are] swift to shed blood:Destruction and misery[ are] in their ways:And the way of peace have they not known:There is no fear of God before their eyes.Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
