But Paul said,“ I am standing before Caesar’s tribunal, where I ought to be tried. To the Jews I have done no wrong, as you yourself know very well.

保羅曰、我立於該撒公堂、乃我當受鞫之地、我未嘗行不義於猶太人、爾所明知也、

保羅曰、余所立者、該撒之堂、在此聽審、宜矣、夫我未嘗不義待猶太人、爾所知也、

保羅曰、我今立於該撒之堂、在此聽審宜矣、我向猶太人、未嘗行不善、爾亦明知、

葆樂曰：「予立於凱撒之法庭、即宜在此受審。予未嘗對猶太人行何不義、是亦汝所明知也。

Paul answered:“ I am now standing before Caesar’s court, where I ought to be tried. I have not done any wrong to the Jews, as you yourself know very well.

Paul answered,“ I’m already standing in Caesar’s court. This is where I should go on trial. I haven’t done anything wrong to the Jews. You yourself know that very well.

But Paul replied,“ No! This is the official Roman court, so I ought to be tried right here. You know very well I am not guilty of harming the Jews.

Paul replied,“ I am standing at Caesar’s tribunal, where I ought to be tried. I have done no wrong to the Jews, as even you yourself know very well.

But Paul said,“ I am standing before Caesar’s tribunal, where I ought to be tried. I have done nothing wrong to the Jews, as you also very well know.

So Paul said,“ I stand at Caesar’s judgment seat, where I ought to be judged. To the Jews I have done no wrong, as you very well know.

But Paul said, I am standing before Cæsar’s judgment- seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou also very well knowest.

But Paul said:“ I am standing at Caesar’s tribunal, where I ought to be tried. I have done no wrong to the Jews, as even you can see very well.

Then said Paul, I stand at Caesar’s judgment seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou very well knowest.

Paul replied,“ I am standing before Caesar’s judgment seat, where I should be tried. I have done nothing wrong to the Jews, as you also know very well.

But Paul said,“ I am standing before Caesar’s judgment seat, where I ought to be tried. I have done no wrong to the Jews, as you also know very well.

But when they had stretched him out for the whips, Paul said to the centurion who was standing by,“ Is it lawful for you to flog a man who is a Roman citizen and uncondemned?”When the centurion heard this, he went to the tribune and said to him,“ What are you about to do? For this man is a Roman citizen.”So the tribune came and said to him,“ Tell me, are you a Roman citizen?” And he said,“ Yes.”The tribune answered,“ I bought this citizenship for a large sum.” Paul said,“ But I am a citizen by birth.”

But Paul said to them,“ They have beaten us publicly, uncondemned, men who are Roman citizens, and have thrown us into prison; and do they now throw us out secretly? No! Let them come themselves and take us out.”The police reported these words to the magistrates, and they were afraid when they heard that they were Roman citizens.

After he stayed among them not more than eight or ten days, he went down to Caesarea. And the next day he took his seat on the tribunal and ordered Paul to be brought.

But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways. We refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God’s word, but by the open statement of the truth we would commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.

But I found that he had done nothing deserving death. And as he himself appealed to the emperor, I decided to go ahead and send him.

I found that he was being accused about questions of their law, but charged with nothing deserving death or imprisonment.

For he knew that it was out of envy that they had delivered him up.

And he said,“ Why? what evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more,“ Let him be crucified!”So when Pilate saw that he was gaining nothing, but rather that a riot was beginning, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd, saying,“ I am innocent of this man’s blood; see to it yourselves.”

So when they came together here, I made no delay, but on the next day took my seat on the tribunal and ordered the man to be brought.

When they had examined me, they wished to set me at liberty, because there was no reason for the death penalty in my case.

And when they had withdrawn, they said to one another,“ This man is doing nothing to deserve death or imprisonment.”
