So we decided to leave for Macedonia at once, having concluded that God was calling us to preach the Good News there.We boarded a boat at Troas and sailed straight across to the island of Samothrace, and the next day we landed at Neapolis.

When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon,“ Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.”

Aristarchus, a Macedonian from Thessalonica, was also with us. We left on a ship whose home port was Adramyttium on the northwest coast of the province of Asia; it was scheduled to make several stops at ports along the coast of the province.

As soon as the boy was gone, David came out from where he had been hiding near the stone pile. Then David bowed three times to Jonathan with his face to the ground. Both of them were in tears as they embraced each other and said good bye, especially David.At last Jonathan said to David,“ Go in peace, for we have sworn loyalty to each other in the Lord’s name. The Lord is the witness of a bond between us and our children forever.” Then David left, and Jonathan returned to the town.

They all cried as they embraced and kissed him good bye.They were sad most of all because he had said that they would never see him again. Then they escorted him down to the ship.
