你們看，你們聽，不但在以弗所、也幾乎在全亞西亞、這個保羅都唆誘了帶壞了好大羣的人，說：「那些用人手作的並不是神。」

爾所知也、此保羅勸導多人、使之轉移、謂手所作者非神、不第於以弗所、亦幾徧亞西亞、爾亦聞且見之矣、

保羅乃惑眾、言手所作者非上帝、不第於以弗所、殆徧亞西亞矣、此爾曹所見所聞也、

此保羅誘惑多人、不第在以弗所、亦幾遍亞西亞、言手所造者非王、此爾曹所見所知也、

乃彼葆樂、不第於依法所、且幾遍亞細亞、勸阻多人、謂人手所製者非神、此汝等所見所聞也。

And you see and hear how this fellow Paul has convinced and led astray large numbers of people here in Ephesus and in practically the whole province of Asia. He says that gods made by human hands are no gods at all.

You have seen and heard what this fellow Paul is doing. He has talked to large numbers of people here in Ephesus. Almost everywhere in Asia Minor he has led people away from our gods. He says that the gods made by human hands are not gods at all.

And you see and hear that not only in Ephesus but in almost all of Asia this Paul has persuaded and turned away a great many people, saying that gods made with hands are not gods.

But as you have seen and heard, this man Paul has persuaded many people that handmade gods aren’t really gods at all. And he’s done this not only here in Ephesus but throughout the entire province!

You see and hear that not only in Ephesus, but in almost all of Asia, this man Paul has persuaded and misled a considerable number of people by saying that gods made by hand are not gods.

You see and hear that not only in Ephesus, but in almost all of Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away a considerable number of people, saying that gods made by hands are not gods at all.

Moreover you see and hear that not only at Ephesus, but throughout almost all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that they are not gods which are made with hands.

所以我們既然是神的後裔，就不應該認為神性是彷彿用人的手藝和心思所雕刻的金、銀、石像。

關於吃祭過偶像的食物，我們知道「世界上的偶像是虛無的」，也知道「除了神一位之外，沒有別的神。」

誰塑造了神像、鑄造了毫無益處的偶像呢？看哪！與他同夥的也必蒙羞，因為工匠自己也不過是人。讓他們聚集、站立吧！他們都必懼怕、蒙羞！鐵匠用工具在炭火上工作，用錘子打造偶像，用有力的膀臂工作；他也會因飢餓而無力，因不喝水而疲乏。木匠拉準繩，用筆畫出偶像的樣子，用鉋子鉋成形狀，用圓規畫出輪廓，把偶像做成人的樣式，像人那樣的美麗，好住在廟裡。他為自己砍伐香柏樹；他選取柏樹或橡樹，讓它在樹林中茁壯成長；他又栽種松樹，讓它靠雨水長大；這些樹可以給人作燃料。他拿一些來生火取暖，還用來燒火烤餅；他也用這些樹製作神像來下拜，製造雕像來膜拜。他用一半的木頭燒火，在其上做肉吃；他烤肉、吃飽，又自己取暖，說：「啊哈，我暖和了！我感到火熱了。」他用剩下的一半做了一個神像，就是他雕刻的偶像，然後向它俯伏下拜，又向它禱告，說：「求你救我，因為你是我的神。」這樣的人不明白，也不領悟，因為耶和華蒙蔽他們的眼使他們不能看見，蒙蔽他們的心使他們不能明悟。他們不反思，也沒有知識和聰慧來說：「我用一半的木頭燒火，又在火炭上烘餅，烤肉吃。我怎麼能用剩下的木頭製造可憎之物呢？我怎麼能向一塊木頭膜拜呢？」他們追求的只是灰燼；他們的心受了迷惑，使他們偏離正道；他們不能救自己，也不會說：「我右手中的，難道不是虛謊之物嗎？」

喊著說：「各位，你們為什麼做這些事呢？我們和你們同樣是人！我們向你們傳福音，是要你們離棄這些虛妄的事，歸向永生的神，就是造了天、地、海和其中萬有的神。

這樣持續了兩年，結果所有住在亞細亞省的人，無論是猶太人或希臘人，都聽到了主的福音。

可是，其餘沒有被這些災害所殺的人，還是不悔改離開自己手所做的，不停止拜鬼魔和那些金、銀、銅、石、木的偶像——它們既不能看、也不能聽、更不能走。

從前，你們不認識神的時候，固然給那些本性上不是神的做了奴僕，

列國的偶像是銀的、金的，是人手所造的：它們有嘴卻不能說，有眼卻不能看；有耳卻不能聽，口中也沒有氣息；那些造它們的、所有依靠它們的，都會像它們那樣。

其實他們自己在宣揚有關我們的事，說我們是怎樣進到你們那裡，你們是怎樣離棄偶像歸向神、服事又活又真的神，

列國的偶像是銀的、金的，是人手所造的：它們有嘴卻不能說，有眼卻不能看；有耳卻不能聽，有鼻卻不能聞；有手卻不能摸，有腳卻不能走，也不能用喉嚨發出聲音。那些造它們的、所有依靠它們的，都會像它們那樣。

他們到達以弗所城，保羅把他們兩個人留在那裡，自己就進了會堂向猶太人講論。

只是我會留在以弗所，一直到五旬節。原來，為了有功效的工作，一個大門向我敞開了，不過反對的人也很多。

「你們把我比作誰，使我與誰等同呢？你們把我與誰相比，我與誰就同等了嗎？那些不惜從錢袋裡倒出金子，用天平稱出銀子的人，雇用金匠造出神像，然後俯伏下拜。他們把神像抬起，扛在肩上，又把它安置就位；它就在那裡呆立不動。儘管人向它呼求，它也不回應，更不能拯救人脫離患難。「你們這些叛逆的人哪，當記念這事，心志堅定，留心反思！

那麼，我怎麼說呢？難道說祭過偶像的食物算得了什麼嗎？或說，偶像算得了什麼嗎？不，我是說，外邦人所獻的祭是獻給鬼魔的，不是獻給神的；而我不願意你們成為與鬼魔有份的人。

而且許多信徒都來，承認並述說自己的所作所為。又有許多行邪術的人，把他們的書籍拿到一處，當眾燒掉。他們估算了那些書的價值，發現共值五萬個銀幣。這樣，主的福音就大有能力地不斷擴展，不斷得勝。

你們知道，當你們還是外邦人的時候，是怎樣被引誘、被帶到那些不能說話的偶像那裡的。
