A number who had practiced sorcery brought their scrolls together and burned them publicly. When they calculated the value of the scrolls, the total came to fifty thousand drachmas.

只是術士以呂馬（他的名字翻出來就是行法術的意思）敵對使徒，設法使省長遠離這信仰。

王吩咐人將術士、巫師、行邪術的和迦勒底人召來，要他們把王的夢告訴王；他們就來，站在王面前。

有一個人名叫西門，向來在那城裏行邪術，自命為大人物，使撒瑪利亞的居民驚奇。所有的人，從小到大都聽從他，說：「這個人就是神的能力，那稱為大能者的。」他們聽從他，因他很久以來用邪術使他們驚奇。

他們走遍全島，直到帕弗，在那裏遇見一個術士－猶太人的假先知，名叫巴耶穌。

你中間不可有人使兒女經火，也不可有占卜的、觀星象的、行法術的、行邪術的、施符咒的、招魂的、行巫術的和求問死人的。凡做這些事的都是耶和華所憎惡的；因這可憎惡的事，耶和華－你的神把他們從你面前趕出去。

儘管使用從幼年就施行的魔符和眾多的邪術吧！或許有些幫助，或許可以致勝。你籌劃太多，以致疲倦。讓那些觀天象，看星宿，在初一說預言的都起來，救你脫離所要臨到你的事！

他將他們所鑄的牛犢用火焚燒，磨得粉碎，撒在水面上，叫以色列人喝。

若是你的右眼使你跌倒，就把它挖出來，丟掉。寧可失去身體中的一部分，也不讓整個身體被扔進地獄。若是你的右手使你跌倒，就把它砍下來，丟掉。寧可失去身體中的一部分，也不讓整個身體下地獄。」

掃羅吩咐臣僕說：「為我找一個招魂的婦人，我好去問她。」臣僕對他說：「看哪，在隱‧多珥有一個招魂的婦人。」於是掃羅改了裝，穿上別的衣服，帶着兩個人，夜裏去見那婦人。掃羅說：「請你用招魂的法術，把我所告訴你的死人，為我招上來。」婦人對他說：「看哪，你知道掃羅所做的，他從國中剪除招魂的和行巫術的。你為何為我的性命設下羅網，要害死我呢？」

法老也召了智慧人和行邪術的人來，這些埃及術士也用邪術照樣做。

你們同情那些遭監禁的人，也欣然忍受你們的家業被人搶去，因為你們知道自己有更美好更長存的家業。

他們就把手中所有外邦的神明和自己耳朵上的環子交給雅各；雅各把它們埋在示劍那裏的橡樹下。

但是，埃及的術士也用邪術照樣做了；法老心裏剛硬，不聽摩西和亞倫，正如耶和華所說的。

這樣，掃羅為了他的不忠死了；因為他干犯耶和華，沒有遵守耶和華的話，又因他求問招魂的婦人，

你要玷污那雕刻偶像所包的銀子和鑄造偶像所鍍的金子。你要拋棄它們，如拋棄污穢之物；對偶像說：「去吧！」

你們要用火焚燒他們神明的雕刻偶像；不可貪愛偶像上的金銀，也不可私自收起來，免得你因此陷入圈套，因為這是耶和華－你神所憎惡的。你不可把可憎之物帶進你的家，否則，你就像它一樣成為當毀滅的。你要徹底憎恨它，極其厭惡它，因為這是當毀滅的。」

這樣，你們無論甚麼人，若不撇下一切所有的，就不能作我的門徒。」

並在欣嫩子谷使他的兒子經火，又觀星象，行法術，行邪術，求問招魂的和行巫術的，多行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，惹他發怒。

到那日，人必將造來敬拜的金偶像、銀偶像拋給田鼠和蝙蝠。耶和華興起使地大震動的時候，人就進入磐縫和巖隙裏，躲避耶和華的驚嚇和他威嚴的榮光。

有人對你們說：「當求問招魂的與行巫術的，他們唧唧喳喳，念念有詞。」然而，百姓不當求問自己的神嗎？豈可為活人求問死人呢？
