众人听见他说到这句话，就高声说：“这样的人应该从地上除掉，不应该活着！”大家正在喊叫着，抛掷衣服，向空中扬灰撒土的时候，

又煽动民众、长老、经学家，这些人就来捉拿他，把他带到公议会，并且造了假的证供说：“这人不断抨击圣地和律法。

伯特利的祭司亚玛谢派人向以色列王耶罗波安报告：“阿摩司在以色列家中图谋背叛你，这国家不能容忍他说的话；
