我是靠近你們的神，不是遙遠的神，不是嗎？這是耶和華說的。人豈能在隱密處藏身，使我看不見他呢？這是耶和華說的。我豈不遍滿天和地嗎？這是耶和華說的。

自從造天地以來，神的永能和神性是明明可知的，雖然眼不能見，但藉着所造之物就可以了解看見，叫人無可推諉。

使剩餘的人，就是凡稱我名的外邦人，都尋求主。這話是自古以來顯明這些事的主說的。』

還是你藐視他豐富的恩慈、寬容、忍耐，不知道他的恩慈是領你悔改嗎？

耶和華啊，你已經鑒察我，認識我。我坐下，我起來，你都曉得；你從遠處知道我的意念。我行路，我躺臥，你都細察；你也深知我一切所行的。耶和華啊，我舌頭上的話，你沒有一句不知道的。你前後環繞我，按手在我身上。這樣的知識奇妙，是我不能測的；至高，是我不能及的。我往哪裏去，躲避你的靈？我往哪裏逃，躲避你的面？我若升到天上，你在那裏；我若躺在陰間，你也在那裏。我若展開清晨的翅膀，飛到海極居住，就是在那裏，你的手必引導我，你的右手也必扶持我。我若說「黑暗必定壓碎我，我周圍的亮光必成為黑夜」，黑暗對你不再是黑暗，黑夜卻如白晝發亮。黑暗和光明，在你看來都是一樣。我的肺腑是你所造的，我在母腹中，你已編織我。

諸天述說神的榮耀，穹蒼傳揚他手的作為。這日到那日發出言語，這夜到那夜傳出知識。無言無語，也無聲音可聽。它們的聲浪傳遍天下，它們的言語傳到地極。神在其中為太陽安設帳幕，太陽如同新郎步出洞房，又如勇士歡然奔路。它從天這邊出來，繞到天那邊，沒有一物可隱藏得不到它的熱氣。

「神果真住在地上嗎？看哪，天和天上的天尚且不足容納你，何況我所建的這殿呢？
