惟當達書、命其戒偶像之污穢、及姦淫、又戒食勒死之牲及血、

至於信主之異邦人、我儕曾達書、酌定不必守此、惟戒食祭偶像之物與血、及勒死之牲、並姦淫而已、

試觀以色列族、食祭物者、非有分於祭臺乎、所言何也、偶像豈足稱道乎、祭偶像之物、亦豈足稱道乎、惟異邦人所獻之祭、祭鬼魔、非祭天主、我不欲爾與鬼魔交、

然尚有稍可責爾者、因爾中有從巴蘭教者、昔巴蘭教巴拉克、誘惑以色列人食祭偶像之物、且行淫、

然尚有稍可責爾者、因爾容彼自稱為先知之婦耶洗別教異端、誘我僕行淫、食祭偶像之物、

兄弟乎、我更進一言、爾當喜樂、當為全備之人、且受慰、且同心、且和睦、則賜仁愛平康之天主、必偕爾曹、

凡活物之生命、皆在血中、故我諭以色列人曰、凡活物之血毋食、凡活物之血即其生命、凡食之者必見滅絕、

勿以食故、毀天主之工、凡物皆潔、但以食而使人躓礙、則惡矣、但以食而使人躓礙則惡矣或作但人有疑而食致妨其心則為有罪寧不食肉、不飲酒、無論何事、毋使兄弟或躓或礙、或信不堅、

惟眷顧孤寡於患難間、且自守不為世俗所染、是誠虔敬、純潔無疵、於我父天主前、或作在我父天主前純潔無疵之虔敬即眷顧孤寡於患難且自守不為世俗所染

我賴主耶穌、明知確見、凡物本無不潔、若人以之為不潔、則於彼為不潔矣、若爾因所食、使兄弟憂、則所行不循愛人之道、基督為之死、爾勿以所食而敗之、

勿遽按手於人、或作勿輕為人行按手之禮勿與人共罪、當守己以潔、○

有能保爾不躓蹶、使爾無瑕疵、歡然而立其榮位前者、
