我们只须写信吩咐他们远避被偶像玷污之物，不可淫乱，不可吃血和勒死的牲畜。

至于那些外族信徒，我们已经写信吩咐他们，不可吃祭过偶像的食物，不可吃血和勒死的牲畜，不可淫乱。”

你们看以色列人，那些吃祭物的难道不是有份于祭坛吗？我这话是什么意思呢？是说偶像和祭偶像的食物有什么特别吗？当然不是，我的意思是那些异教徒所献的祭是祭鬼魔的，而不是献给上帝的。我不愿意你们与鬼魔有任何关系。

不过有几件事我要责备你，你那里有人随从巴兰的教导。这巴兰从前教巴勒在以色列人面前布下网罗，使他们吃祭过偶像的食物、犯淫乱的罪。

可是有一件事我要责备你，就是你容许那自称是先知的妇人耶洗别教导我的众奴仆，引诱他们淫乱、吃祭过偶像的食物。

最后，弟兄姊妹，我还有几句话要说：你们要喜乐，追求完善，接受劝勉，同心合意，和睦共处。这样，仁爱和平的上帝必常与你们同在。

因为众生的生命都在血中。因此，耶和华吩咐以色列人不可吃任何动物的血，因为血就是生命。凡吃血的都要被铲除。

不可因食物的问题而破坏上帝的工作。所有的食物固然都是洁净的，但人若因所吃的食物绊倒别人，就有罪了。无论是吃肉、喝酒还是做任何别的事，如果会绊倒别人，就应该一概不做。

在父上帝看来，纯洁无瑕的虔诚是指照顾患难中的孤儿寡妇，并且不让自己被世俗玷污。

我知道并靠着主耶稣深信，没有什么是不洁净的，但若有人以为某物不洁净，那物对他来说就不洁净。如果你吃的东西令弟兄姊妹不安，你就不是凭爱心行事。你不可因为一点食物而损害基督舍命救赎的人。

为人行按手礼，不要操之过急。不要沾染别人的罪，要洁身自好。

愿荣耀归给我们的救主——独一的上帝！祂能保守你们不失足犯罪，使你们无瑕无疵、欢欢喜喜地站在祂的荣耀面前。

我在你们那里经济拮据的时候，没有拖累过你们任何人，因为马其顿来的弟兄姊妹补足了我的缺乏。我没有在任何方面成为你们的负担，将来也不会成为你们的负担。

亲爱的弟兄姊妹，你们要在至圣的真道上造就自己，在圣灵的引导下祷告，常在上帝的爱中，等候我们主耶稣基督施怜悯赐给你们永生。

他向众人道别，说：“如果上帝许可，我会回来。”然后上船离开了以弗所。

又有一个人说：“主啊！我愿意跟从你，但请让我先回去向家人告别。”

我得知有人准备暗杀他，便立即护送他到你那里，并通知他的控告者去你那里告他。”
