But Paul and Barnabas didn’t agree with this. They argued strongly with them. So Paul and Barnabas were appointed to go up to Jerusalem. Some other believers were chosen to go with them. They were told to ask the apostles and elders about this question.

And after Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and debate with them, Paul and Barnabas and some of the others were appointed to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and the elders about this question.

Paul and Barnabas disagreed with them, arguing vehemently. Finally, the church decided to send Paul and Barnabas to Jerusalem, accompanied by some local believers, to talk to the apostles and elders about this question.

After Paul and Barnabas had engaged them in serious argument and debate, Paul and Barnabas and some others were appointed to go up to the apostles and elders in Jerusalem about this issue.

过了十四年，我再上耶路撒冷去，巴拿巴同行，也带了提多一起去。我是奉了启示上去的；我把在外邦人中所传的福音对弟兄们说明，我是私下对那些有名望的人说的，免得我现在或是从前都徒然奔跑了。

我虽然是自由的，不受人管辖，但我甘心作了众人的仆人，为赢得更多的人。对犹太人，我就作犹太人，为要赢得犹太人；对律法以下的人，我虽不在律法以下，还是作律法以下的人，为要赢得律法以下的人。对没有律法的人，我就作没有律法的人，为要赢得没有律法的人；其实我在神面前，不是没有律法，而是在基督的律法之下。对软弱的人，我就作软弱的人，为要赢得软弱的人。对什么样的人，我就作什么样的人。无论如何我总要救一些人。凡我所做的，都是为福音的缘故，为要与人共享这福音的好处。

我很惊讶你们这么快就离开那位藉着基督之恩呼召你们的神，而去随从别的福音；其实并没有另一个福音，不过有些人骚扰你们，要把基督的福音更改了。但无论是我们或是天上来的使者，若传福音给你们，与我们所传给你们的不同，他该受诅咒！我们已经说了，现在我再说，若有人传福音给你们，与你们以往所领受的不同，他该受诅咒！我现在是要得人的心，还是要得神的心呢？难道我在讨人的喜欢吗？我若仍旧想讨人的喜欢，我就不是基督的仆人了。

虽然我靠着基督能放胆吩咐你做该做的事，可是像我这上了年纪的保罗，现在又是为基督耶稣被囚的，宁可凭着爱心求你，

他们经过各城，把耶路撒冷使徒和长老所决定的规条交给门徒遵守。

所以我们派犹大和西拉去，他们也会亲口述说这些事。

圣灵吩咐我和他们同去，不要疑惑，还有这六位弟兄也跟我一起去，我们进了那人的家。

你若这样做，神也这样吩咐你，你就能承受得住，众百姓也可以和睦地回到自己的地方。”

但我想，我一点也不在那些超级使徒以下。

我们认为，既然我们同心定意，就拣选几个人，派他们同我们所亲爱的巴拿巴和保罗到你们那里去。

彼得就请他们进去住宿。次日，他起身和他们同去，还有约帕的几个弟兄跟他一起去。

亲爱的，我一直很迫切地想要写信给你们，论到我们同享的救恩，但我觉得有必要现在就写信劝你们，要为从前一次交付给圣徒的真道竭力奋斗。

第二天，保罗同我们去见雅各；所有的长老也都在场。

可是，为要使福音的真理仍存在你们中间，我们一点也没有让步顺服他们。
