When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.

Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas;[ namely], Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:And they wrote[ letters] by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren[ send] greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:

And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men[ and] brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and[ of] the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.

Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.

Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with[ me] also.And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.

For though I be free from all[ men], yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;To them that are without law, as without law,( being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all[ men], that I might by all means save some.And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with[ you].

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.As we said before, so say I now again, If any[ man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,Yet for love’s sake I rather beseech[ thee], being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem.

We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell[ you] the same things by mouth.

And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man’s house:

If thou shalt do this thing, and God command thee[ so], then thou shalt be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace.

For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.

It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

Then called he them in, and lodged[ them]. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort[ you] that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

And the[ day] following Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present.

To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.

And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.
