But Paul and Barnabas didn’t agree with this. They argued strongly with them. So Paul and Barnabas were appointed to go up to Jerusalem. Some other believers were chosen to go with them. They were told to ask the apostles and elders about this question.

And after Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and debate with them, Paul and Barnabas and some of the others were appointed to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and the elders about this question.

Paul and Barnabas disagreed with them, arguing vehemently. Finally, the church decided to send Paul and Barnabas to Jerusalem, accompanied by some local believers, to talk to the apostles and elders about this question.

After Paul and Barnabas had engaged them in serious argument and debate, Paul and Barnabas and some others were appointed to go up to the apostles and elders in Jerusalem about this issue.

And after Paul and Barnabas had a heated argument and debate with them, the brothers determined that Paul and Barnabas and some others of them should go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders concerning this issue.

Therefore, when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and dispute with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas and certain others of them should go up to Jerusalem, to the apostles and elders, about this question.

那时，使徒和长老并全教会定意从他们中间拣选人，差他们和保罗、巴拿巴同往安提阿去；所拣选的就是称呼巴撒巴的犹大和西拉。这两个人在弟兄中是作首领的。于是写信交付他们，内中说：“使徒和作长老的弟兄们问安提阿、叙利亚、基利家外邦众弟兄的安。

过了十四年，我同巴拿巴又上耶路撒冷去，并带着提多同去。我是奉启示上去的，把我在外邦人中所传的福音对弟兄们陈说；却是背地里对那有名望之人说的，惟恐我现在，或是从前，徒然奔跑。

我虽是自由的，无人辖管；然而我甘心作了众人的仆人，为要多得人。向犹太人，我就作犹太人，为要得犹太人；向律法以下的人，我虽不在律法以下，还是作律法以下的人，为要得律法以下的人。向没有律法的人，我就作没有律法的人，为要得没有律法的人；其实我在神面前，不是没有律法；在基督面前，正在律法之下。向软弱的人，我就作软弱的人，为要得软弱的人。向什么样的人，我就作什么样的人。无论如何，总要救些人。凡我所行的，都是为福音的缘故，为要与人同得这福音的好处。

我希奇你们这么快离开那藉着基督之恩召你们的，去从别的福音。那并不是福音，不过有些人搅扰你们，要把基督的福音更改了。但无论是我们，是天上来的使者，若传福音给你们，与我们所传给你们的不同，他就应当被咒诅。我们已经说了，现在又说，若有人传福音给你们，与你们所领受的不同，他就应当被咒诅。我现在是要得人的心呢？还是要得神的心呢？我岂是讨人的喜欢吗？若仍旧讨人的喜欢，我就不是基督的仆人了。

我虽然靠着基督能放胆吩咐你合宜的事，然而像我这有年纪的保罗，现在又是为基督耶稣被囚的，宁可凭着爱心求你，

他们经过各城，把耶路撒冷使徒和长老所定的条规交给门徒遵守。

我们就差了犹大和西拉，他们也要亲口诉说这些事。

圣灵吩咐我和他们同去，不要疑惑。同着我去的，还有这六位弟兄，我们都进了那人的家。

你若这样行，神也这样吩咐你，你就能受得住，这百姓也都平平安安归回他们的住处。”

但我想，我一点不在那些最大的使徒以下。

所以，我们同心定意，拣选几个人，差他们同我们所亲爱的巴拿巴和保罗往你们那里去。

彼得就请他们进去，住了一宿。次日，起身和他们同去，还有约帕的几个弟兄同着他去；

亲爱的弟兄啊，我想尽心写信给你们，论我们同得救恩的时候，就不得不写信劝你们，要为从前一次交付圣徒的真道竭力地争辩。

第二天，保罗同我们去见雅各；长老们也都在那里。

我们就是一刻的工夫也没有容让顺服他们，为要叫福音的真理仍存在你们中间。

耶和华对撒母耳说：“百姓向你说的一切话，你只管依从；因为他们不是厌弃你，乃是厌弃我，不要我作他们的王。
