使徒知道了，就逃往呂高尼的路司得、特庇兩個城和周圍地方去，

保羅來到特庇，又到路司得。在那裏有一個門徒，名叫提摩太，是信主之猶太婦人的兒子，他父親卻是希臘人。

找着了，就帶他到安提阿去。他們足有一年的工夫和教會一同聚集，教訓了許多人。門徒稱為「基督徒」是從安提阿起首。

有一個少年人，名叫猶推古，坐在窗臺上，困倦沉睡。保羅講了多時，少年人睡熟了，就從三層樓上掉下去；扶起他來，已經死了。保羅下去，伏在他身上，抱着他，說：「你們不要發慌，他的靈魂還在身上。」保羅又上去，擘餅，吃了，談論許久，直到天亮，這才走了。有人把那童子活活地領來，得的安慰不小。

自己心裏也斷定是必死的，叫我們不靠自己，只靠叫死人復活的神。他曾救我們脫離那極大的死亡，現在仍要救我們，並且我們指望他將來還要救我們。

亂定之後，保羅請門徒來，勸勉他們，就辭別起行，往馬其頓去。

二人就在那裏同門徒住了多日。

二人出了監，往呂底亞家裏去，見了弟兄們，勸慰他們一番，就走了。

似乎不為人所知，卻是人所共知的；似乎要死，卻是活着的；似乎受責罰，卻是不致喪命的；

彼得擺手，不要他們作聲，就告訴他們主怎樣領他出監；又說：「你們把這事告訴雅各和眾弟兄。」於是出去，往別處去了。

他們作完見證的時候，那從無底坑裏上來的獸必與他們交戰，並且得勝，把他們殺了。他們的屍首就倒在大城裏的街上；這城按着靈意叫所多瑪，又叫埃及，就是他們的主釘十字架之處。從各民、各族、各方、各國中，有人觀看他們的屍首三天半，又不許把屍首放在墳墓裏。住在地上的人就為他們歡喜快樂，互相餽送禮物，因這兩位先知曾叫住在地上的人受痛苦。過了這三天半，有生氣從神那裏進入他們裏面，他們就站起來；看見他們的人甚是害怕。兩位先知聽見有大聲音從天上來，對他們說：「上到這裏來。」他們就駕着雲上了天，他們的仇敵也看見了。

堅固門徒的心，勸他們恆守所信的道；又說：「我們進入神的國，必須經歷許多艱難。」
