請飭守墓三日、恐其徒竊屍、而告民以復活、則謬說流傳、必有變本加厲者矣。』比辣多曰：『爾曹自有守卒、好自為之。』若輩乃設兵守墓、封錮其石。

吾實語汝、汝少時自束衣帶、任意出遊、既老將伸手見束於人、曳至非汝願往之處。』

爾時人將付爾於酷刑、加爾以殘殺；爾為我名、將見惡於萬民；

獄吏既受命、置之內監、加以桎梏。午夜、葆樂西拉祈禱頌詩、讚美天主；群囚側耳而聽。

伯鐸祿對曰：『主乎、吾即偕子入獄、同子致命、亦所不辭。』

惟曰：『毋於節日行之、恐民生變。』

群執宗徒、囚之於獄。

以奉行爾所手訂之聖謨者也。

而掃羅則蹂躪教會、擅入人宅、逮捕男女信徒、下之於獄。
