惟伯鐸祿至耶路撒冷時割禮中人指責之曰：

So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcised believers criticized him

Peter went up to Jerusalem. There the Jewish believers found fault with him.

那些奉割礼的信徒和彼得同来，见圣灵的恩赐也浇在外邦人身上，就都惊奇；

他们听见了，就归荣耀给神，对保罗说：“弟兄，你看犹太人中有数以万计的信徒，而他们都是热心于律法的人。他们曾听见人说，你教导所有在外邦的犹太人离弃摩西，对他们说，不要给孩子行割礼，也不要遵守规矩。众人必听见你来了，这可怎么办呢？你就照着我们的话做吧！我们这里有四个人，都有愿在身。

有几个人从犹太下来，教导弟兄们说：“你们若不按照摩西的规矩受割礼，不能得救。”

第二天，他们走路将近那城，约在正午，彼得上房顶去祷告。

惟有几个法利赛派的信徒起来，说：“必须给外邦人行割礼，吩咐他们遵守摩西的律法。”

从雅各那里来的人未到以前，他和外邦人一同吃饭，及至他们来到，他因怕奉割礼的人就退出，跟外邦人疏远了。其余的犹太人也都随着他装假，甚至连巴拿巴也随伙装假。但我一看见他们做得不对，与福音的真理不合，就在众人面前对矶法说：“你既是犹太人，却按照外邦人的样子，不按照犹太人的样子生活，怎么能勉强外邦人按照犹太人的样子生活呢？”
