“ What things?” He asked them. So they said to Him,“ The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who was a Prophet powerful in action and speech before God and all the people,

So they brought to Him all those who were afflicted, those suffering from various diseases and intense pains, the demon-possessed, the epileptics, and the paralytics. And He healed them.

The high priest questioned Jesus about His disciples and about His teaching.“ I have spoken openly to the world,” Jesus answered him.“ I have always taught in the synagogue and in the temple complex, where all the Jews congregate, and I haven’t spoken anything in secret.Why do you question Me? Question those who heard what I told them. Look, they know what I said.”

At that time Jesus healed many people of diseases, plagues, and evil spirits, and He granted sight to many blind people.He replied to them,“ Go and report to John the things you have seen and heard: The blind receive their sight, the lame walk, those with skin diseases are healed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor are told the good news.And anyone who is not offended because of Me is blessed.”

For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you should follow in His steps.He did not commit sin, and no deceit was found in His mouth;when He was reviled, He did not revile in return; when He was suffering, He did not threaten but entrusted Himself to the One who judges justly.

As He began His ministry, Jesus was about 30 years old and was thought to be the son of Joseph, son of Heli,

the blind see, the lame walk, those with skin diseases are healed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor are told the good news.

“ Men of Israel, listen to these words: This Jesus the Nazarene was a man pointed out to you by God with miracles, wonders, and signs that God did among you through Him, just as you yourselves know.

Jesus replied,“ I have shown you many good works from the Father. Which of these works are you stoning Me for?”“ We aren’t stoning You for a good work,” the Jews answered,“ but for blasphemy, because You— being a man— make Yourself God.”Jesus answered them,“ Isn’t it written in your scripture, I said, you are gods?If He called those whom the word of God came to‘ gods’— and the Scripture cannot be broken—do you say,‘ You are blaspheming’ to the One the Father set apart and sent into the world, because I said: I am the Son of God?If I am not doing My Father’s works, don’t believe Me.But if I am doing them and you don’t believe Me, believe the works. This way you will know and understand that the Father is in Me and I in the Father.”

After these days his wife Elizabeth conceived and kept herself in seclusion for five months. She said,
