How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.

Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.

For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,

Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.

Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day.You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; For they are ever with me.I have more understanding than all my teachers, For Your testimonies are my meditation.I understand more than the ancients, Because I keep Your precepts.I have restrained my feet from every evil way, That I may keep Your word.I have not departed from Your judgments, For You Yourself have taught me.How sweet are Your words to my taste, Sweeter than honey to my mouth!Through Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way.

The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.

“ The Spirit of the Lord spoke by me, And His word was on my tongue.

in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth,

The ear that hears the rebukes of life Will abide among the wise.

Out of heaven He let you hear His voice, that He might instruct you; on earth He showed you His great fire, and you heard His words out of the midst of the fire.

For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head— Christ—from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

Then He said to them,“ Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old.”

how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house,
