For this reason God sends them a strong delusion so that they will believe the lie,

故此，神就给他们一个生发错误的心，叫他们信从虚谎，

故此，上帝就给他们一个引发错误的心，叫他们信从虚谎，

故此，神就给他们一个引发错误的心，叫他们信从虚谎，

上帝就让他们是非不辨，去相信那些虚假的谎言，

因此，神就使错谬的思想运行在他们当中，让他们相信虚谎，

为此，神就把一种迷惑人的力量送进他们里面，使他们相信虚假之事，

故此，神就給他們一個生發錯誤的心，叫他們信從虛謊，

故此，上帝就給他們一個引發錯誤的心，叫他們信從虛謊，

故此，神就給他們一個引發錯誤的心，叫他們信從虛謊，

上帝就讓他們是非不辨，去相信那些虛假的謊言，

因此，神就使錯謬的思想運行在他們當中，讓他們相信虛謊，

為這緣故、上帝就將謬妄「所運用的動力」送在他們身上，使他們信從虛謊，

為此，神就把一種迷惑人的力量送進他們裡面，使他們相信虛假之事，

故上帝施以乖謬、致信誑言、

為此、上帝任其大謬、信諸誑言、

故天主使其大謬、信從虛偽、

既不愛慕真理、天主亦祇得聽其從妄信謊、

For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie

So God will fool them completely. Then they will believe the lie.

Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false,

So God will cause them to be greatly deceived, and they will believe these lies.

For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false,

And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,

And for this cause God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe a lie:

For this reason God sends them a strong delusion so that they will believe what is false,

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

Consequently God sends on them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false.

Because of this, God sends them a working of error, that they should believe a lie;

And because they did not think it worthwhile to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to a corrupt mind so that they do what is not right.

This is why they were unable to believe, because Isaiah also said:He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so that they would not see with their eyes or understand with their hearts, and turn, and I would heal them.Isaiah said these things because he saw his glory and spoke about him.Nevertheless, many did believe in him even among the rulers, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, so that they would not be banned from the synagogue.For they loved human praise more than praise from God.

While they offer false visions and lying divinations about you, the time has come to put you to the necks of the profane wicked ones; the day has come for final punishment.

“ But my people did not listen to my voice; Israel did not obey me.So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own plans.

Stop and be astonished; blind yourselves and be blind! They are drunk, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with beer.For the LORD has poured out on you an overwhelming urge to sleep; he has shut your eyes( the prophets) and covered your heads( the seers).For you the entire vision will be like the words of a sealed document. If it is given to one who can read and he is asked to read it, he will say,“ I can’t read it, because it is sealed.”And if the document is given to one who cannot read and he is asked to read it, he will say,“ I can’t read.”The Lord said: These people approach me with their speeches to honor me with lip-service, yet their hearts are far from me, and human rules direct their worship of me.Therefore, I will again confound these people with wonder after wonder. The wisdom of their wise will vanish, and the perception of their perceptive will be hidden.

So the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ Didn’t I tell you he never prophesies good about me, but only disaster?”Then Micaiah said,“ Therefore, hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and the whole heavenly army was standing by him at his right hand and at his left hand.And the LORD said,‘ Who will entice Ahab to march up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’ So one was saying this and another was saying that.“ Then a spirit came forward, stood in the LORD’s presence, and said,‘ I will entice him.’“ The LORD asked him,‘ How?’“ He said,‘ I will go and become a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’“ Then he said,‘ You will certainly entice him and prevail. Go and do that.’

For though they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or show gratitude. Instead, their thinking became worthless, and their senseless hearts were darkened.Claiming to be wise, they became foolsand exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man, birds, four-footed animals, and reptiles.Therefore God delivered them over in the desires of their hearts to sexual impurity, so that their bodies were degraded among themselves.They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served what has been created instead of the Creator, who is praised forever. Amen.

“‘ But if the prophet is deceived and speaks a message, it was I, the LORD, who deceived that prophet. I will stretch out my hand against him and destroy him from among my people Israel.

For our exhortation didn’t come from error or impurity or an intent to deceive.

Now the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons,

He feeds on ashes. His deceived mind has led him astray, and he cannot rescue himself, or say,“ Isn’t there a lie in my right hand?”

They are prophesying a lie to you so that you will be removed from your land. I will banish you, and you will perish.

He loved cursing— let it fall on him; he took no delight in blessing— let it be far from him.

So I will choose their punishment, and I will bring on them what they dread because I called and no one answered; I spoke and they did not listen; they did what was evil in my sight and chose what I did not delight in.

Many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

Then Micaiah said,“ Therefore, hear the word of the LORD. I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and the whole heavenly army was standing at his right hand and at his left hand.And the LORD said,‘ Who will entice King Ahab of Israel to march up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’ So one was saying this and another was saying that.“ Then a spirit came forward, stood before the LORD, and said,‘ I will entice him.’“ The LORD asked him,‘ How?’“ So he said,‘ I will go and become a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’“ Then he said,‘ You will entice him and also prevail. Go and do that.’“ Now, you see, the LORD has put a lying spirit into the mouth of these prophets of yours, and the LORD has pronounced disaster against you.”

And he replied: Go! Say to these people: Keep listening, but do not understand; keep looking, but do not perceive.Make the minds of these people dull; deafen their ears and blind their eyes; otherwise they might see with their eyes and hear with their ears, understand with their minds, turn back, and be healed.

For many will come in my name, saying,‘ I am the Messiah,’ and they will deceive many.
