The king asked,“ Isn’t there anyone still alive from the royal house of Saul? God has been very kind to me. I would like to be kind to that person in the same way.” Ziba answered the king,“ A son of Jonathan is still living. Both of his feet were hurt so that he can’t walk.”

王说：“扫罗家还有人没有？我要照神的慈爱恩待他。”洗巴对王说：“还有约拿单的一个儿子，是瘸腿的。”

王说：“扫罗家还有没有剩下的人？我要照上帝的慈爱恩待他。”洗巴对王说：“还有约拿单的一个儿子，双腿是瘸的。”

王说：“扫罗家还有没有剩下的人？我要照神的慈爱恩待他。”洗巴对王说：“还有约拿单的一个儿子，双腿是瘸的。”

王说：“扫罗家中还有什么人？我要以上帝的慈爱来待他。”洗巴答道：“约拿单还有一个儿子，是双脚残废的。”

王又问：“扫罗家还有人没有？我要以神的慈爱待他。”洗巴回答王说：“还有约拿单的一个儿子，他双脚残废了。”

王說：「掃羅家還有人沒有？我要照神的慈愛恩待他。」洗巴對王說：「還有約拿單的一個兒子，是瘸腿的。」

王說：「掃羅家還有沒有剩下的人？我要照上帝的慈愛恩待他。」洗巴對王說：「還有約拿單的一個兒子，雙腿是瘸的。」

王說：「掃羅家還有沒有剩下的人？我要照神的慈愛恩待他。」洗巴對王說：「還有約拿單的一個兒子，雙腿是瘸的。」

王說：「掃羅家中還有什麼人？我要以上帝的慈愛來待他。」洗巴答道：「約拿單還有一個兒子，是雙腳殘廢的。」

王又問：“掃羅家還有人沒有？我要以神的慈愛待他。”洗巴回答王說：“還有約拿單的一個兒子，他雙腳殘廢了。”

王說：『掃羅家還有人沒有？我要照上帝的慈愛待他。』洗巴對王說：『還有約拿單的一個兒子、是兩腳殘廢的。』

王說：「掃羅家還有人沒有？我要以神的慈愛對待他。」洗巴對王說：「約拿單還有一個雙腿殘疾的兒子。」

王曰、掃羅家尚有人乎、我以上帝之仁慈待之、洗巴曰、約拿單尚有一子、跛者也、

王曰、掃羅家尚有人乎。我念上帝、欲施恩焉、西巴曰、約拿單遺一子、其足已跛。

王曰、掃羅家尚有人乎、我欲為天主施恩於彼、洗巴對王曰、尚有約拿單之一子、乃跛足者、

The king asked,“ Is there no one still alive from the house of Saul to whom I can show God’s kindness?” Ziba answered the king,“ There is still a son of Jonathan; he is lame in both feet.”

And the king said,“ Is there not still someone of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God to him?” Ziba said to the king,“ There is still a son of Jonathan; he is crippled in his feet.”

The king then asked him,“ Is anyone still alive from Saul’s family? If so, I want to show God’s kindness to them.” Ziba replied,“ Yes, one of Jonathan’s sons is still alive. He is crippled in both feet.”

So the king asked,“ Is there anyone left of Saul’s family that I can show the kindness of God to?” Ziba said to the king,“ There is still Jonathan’s son who was injured in both feet.”

Then the king said,“ Is there no one remaining of the house of Saul to whom I could show the kindness of God?” And Ziba said to the king,“ There is still a son of Jonathan, one who is disabled in both feet.”

Then the king said,“ Is there not still someone of the house of Saul, to whom I may show the kindness of God?” And Ziba said to the king,“ There is still a son of Jonathan who is lame in his feet.”

And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, who is lame of his feet.

So the king asked,“ Is there anyone left of Saul’s family that I can show the kindness of God to?” Ziba said to the king,“ There is still Jonathan’s son who was injured in both feet.”

And the king said,[ Is] there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son,[ which is] lame on[ his] feet.

The king asked,“ Is there not someone left from Saul’s family, that I may extend God’s kindness to him?” Ziba said to the king,“ One of Jonathan’s sons is left; both of his feet are crippled.”

The king said,“ Is there not yet any of Saul’s house, that I may show the kindness of God to him?” Ziba said to the king,“ Jonathan still has a son, who is lame in his feet.”

Jonathan, the son of Saul, had a son named Mephibosheth. Both of Mephibosheth’s feet were hurt. He was five years old when the news that Saul and Jonathan had died came from Jezreel. His nurse picked him up and ran. But as she hurried to get away, he fell down. That’s how his feet were hurt.

But here is what I tell you. Love your enemies. Pray for those who hurt you.Then you will be children of your Father who is in heaven. He causes his sun to shine on evil people and good people. He sends rain on those who do right and those who don’t.

He loved your people of long ago. He chose their children after them. So he brought you out of Egypt. He used his great strength to do it.

But the Lord loved your people of long ago very much. You are their children. And he chose you above all the other nations. His love and his promise remain with you to this very day.

At one time we too acted like fools. We didn’t obey God. We were tricked. We were controlled by all kinds of desires and pleasures. We were full of evil. We wanted what belongs to others. People hated us, and we hated one another.But the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared.

But always be kind to me, just as the Lord is. Be kind to me as long as I live. Then I won’t be killed.And never stop being kind to my family. Don’t stop even when the Lord has cut off every one of your enemies from the face of the earth.”So Jonathan made a covenant of friendship with David and his family. He said,“ May the Lord hold David’s enemies responsible for what they’ve done.”Jonathan had David promise his friendship again because he loved him. In fact, Jonathan loved David just as he loved himself.

So have mercy, just as your Father has mercy.

He said,“ You are my king and master. I’m not able to walk. So I thought,‘ I’ll have a saddle put on my donkey. I’ll ride on it. Then I can go with the king.’ But my servant Ziba turned against me.
