大衛吩咐利未人的領袖派他們歌唱的弟兄用琴瑟和鈸的樂器奏樂，歡歡喜喜地大聲歌頌。

工匠立耶和華殿根基的時候，祭司穿禮服吹號，利未人亞薩的子孫敲鈸，都照以色列王大衛親手所定的，站着讚美耶和華。他們彼此唱和，讚美稱謝耶和華：「他本為善，他向以色列永施慈愛。」他們讚美耶和華的時候，眾百姓大聲呼喊，因為耶和華殿的根基已經立定。

神啊，你是我的神，我的王；人已經看見你行走，進入聖所。歌唱的行在前，作樂的隨在後，都在擊鼓的童女中間：「從以色列源頭而來的啊，你們當在各會中稱頌神－耶和華！」在那裏，有統管他們的小便雅憫，有猶大的領袖和他們的一羣人，有西布倫的領袖，有拿弗他利的領袖。

要用角聲讚美他，鼓瑟彈琴讚美他！

萬民哪，你們都要鼓掌！用歡呼的聲音向神呼喊！

耶和華吩咐摩西說：「你要用銀子做兩枝號筒，把它們錘出來，給你用來召集會眾，拔營起行。吹號的時候，全會眾要到你那裏，聚集在會幕的門口。若只吹一枝，眾領袖，就是以色列部隊的官長，要到你那裏聚集。你們大聲吹號的時候，東邊安營的要起行。第二次大聲吹號的時候，南邊安營的要起行。起行的時候，要大聲吹號；但召集會眾的時候，你們要吹號，卻不要吹出大聲。亞倫子孫作祭司的要吹這號筒，作為你們世世代代永遠的定例。當你們在自己的土地上，與欺壓你們的敵人打仗時，要用號筒吹出大聲。你們就在耶和華－你們的神面前得蒙記念，也必蒙拯救脫離仇敵。在快樂的日子，節期和初一，獻燔祭與平安祭的時候，你們要吹號筒，在你們的神面前作為紀念。我是耶和華－你們的神。」

這樣，以色列眾人歡呼、吹角、吹號、敲鈸、鼓瑟、彈琴，聲音響亮，將耶和華的約櫃接上來。

神上升，有喊聲相送；耶和華上升，有角聲相送。你們要向神歌頌，歌頌！向我們的王歌頌，歌頌！

於是，大衛和以色列的長老，以及千夫長都去，歡歡喜喜地將耶和華的約櫃從俄別‧以東家中接上來。

我要使他的仇敵披上羞恥；但他的冠冕要在他頭上發光。」
