When the builders established the LORD’s temple, the priests, ceremonially attired and with their clarions, and the Levites( the sons of Asaph) with their cymbals, stood to praise the LORD according to the instructions left by King David of Israel.With antiphonal response they sang, praising and glorifying the LORD:“ For he is good; his loyal love toward Israel is forever.” All the people gave a loud shout as they praised the LORD when the temple of the LORD was established.

They see your processions, O God– the processions of my God, my king, who marches along in holy splendor.Singers walk in front; musicians follow playing their stringed instruments, in the midst of young women playing tambourines.In your large assemblies praise God, the LORD, in the assemblies of Israel!There is little Benjamin, their ruler, and the princes of Judah in their robes, along with the princes of Zebulun and the princes of Naphtali.

Praise him with the blast of the horn! Praise him with the lyre and the harp!

All you nations, clap your hands! Shout out to God in celebration!

The LORD spoke to Moses:“ Make two trumpets of silver; you are to make them from a single hammered piece. You will use them for assembling the community and for directing the traveling of the camps.When they blow them both, all the community must come to you to the entrance of the tent of meeting.“ But if they blow with one trumpet, then the leaders, the heads of the thousands of Israel, must come to you.When you blow an alarm, then the camps that are located on the east side must begin to travel.And when you blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that are located on the south side must begin to travel. An alarm must be sounded for their journeys.But when you assemble the community, you must blow, but you must not sound an alarm.The sons of Aaron, the priests, must blow the trumpets; and they will be to you for an eternal ordinance throughout your generations.If you go to war in your land against an adversary who opposes you, then you must sound an alarm with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the LORD your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.“ Also in the time when you rejoice, such as on your appointed festivals or at the beginnings of your months, you must blow with your trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings, so that they may become a memorial for you before your God: I am the LORD your God.”

All Israel brought up the ark of the LORD’s covenant; they were shouting, blowing trumpets, sounding cymbals, and playing stringed instruments.

God has ascended his throne amid loud shouts; the LORD has ascended his throne amid the blaring of ram’s horns.Sing to God! Sing! Sing to our king! Sing!

So David, the leaders of Israel, and the commanders of units of a thousand went to bring up the ark of the LORD’s covenant from the house of Obed-Edom with celebration.

I will humiliate his enemies, and his crown will shine.
