耶和華啊，你是向江河發怒嗎？你乘著得勝的戰車而來，是向江河生氣嗎？是向海洋發怒嗎？你拿出弓，要射出許多箭羽。（細拉）你以江河分開大地。群山看見你就戰慄，大雨傾盆，深淵翻騰，波浪滔天。

祂的鼻孔冒煙，口噴烈焰和火炭。

摩西向海伸出手，耶和華便整夜用強勁的東風吹退海水，將海底變成乾地。海水分開後，以色列人踏著乾地走入海中，海水如兩道牆立在他們左右。法老的軍兵車馬緊追不捨，都跟著下到海中。到了破曉時分，耶和華從雲柱火柱中俯視埃及軍隊，擾亂他們的隊伍。祂使他們戰車的輪子脫落，難以前行。於是，埃及人說：「我們逃命吧，因為耶和華在幫助以色列人對付我們！」耶和華對摩西說：「你向海伸出手，使海水回流，淹沒埃及軍隊。」天剛亮的時候，摩西向海伸出手，海水便復原。埃及人紛紛向岸上逃命，耶和華卻使大水把他們捲回海中。

祂斥責紅海，海就乾了，祂帶領他們走過深淵，如履乾地。

說，『你到此為止，不可越界；你狂傲的波濤要停在這裡。』

大海看見他們就奔逃，約旦河也倒流。大山如公羊一般跳躍，小山像羊羔一樣蹦跳。大海啊，你為何奔逃？約旦河啊，你為何倒流？大山啊，你為何如公羊一般跳躍？小山啊，你為何像羊羔一樣蹦跳？大地啊，你要在主面前，在雅各的上帝面前戰抖，

你的鼻孔一呼氣，海水便堆聚起來，洪濤便堆起水牆，海底深處也都凝固。敵人說，『追啊，追上他們，瓜分他們的財物，盡情地擄掠他們，拔出刀來把他們斬盡殺絕。』你叫風一吹，海水就淹沒他們，他們好像鉛塊一樣沉沒在怒海中。

上帝啊，你為何永遠丟棄了我們？你為何對自己草場上的羊大發雷霆？

耶和華啊，你斥責一聲，鼻孔一吹氣，海底就顯現，大地也露出根基。祂從高天伸手抓住我，從深淵中把我拉上來。祂救我脫離強敵，脫離我無法戰勝的仇敵。

耶穌答道：「你們信心太小了，為什麼害怕呢？」於是祂起來斥責風和浪，風浪就完全平靜了。門徒很驚奇，說：「祂究竟是什麼人？連風浪都聽祂的！」
