Let your servant return, that I may die in my own town near the tomb of my father and mother. But here is your servant Kimham. Let him cross over with my lord the king. Do for him whatever you wish.”

Let me go back home. Then I can die in my own town. I can be buried there in the tomb of my father and mother. But let Kimham take my place. Let him go across the river with you. Do for him whatever you wish.”

但是你要恩待基列人巴西莱的众子，使他们与你同席吃饭，因为我逃避你哥哥押沙龙的时候，他们拿食物来迎接我。

他们去到伯利恒附近的基罗特金罕，停留在那里，想要往埃及去，

王过了河，到了吉甲，金罕也与王一同渡河。所有的犹大人和半数以色列人，也都与王一同渡河。

我已经被浇奠；我离世的时候也到了。

我与我的祖先同睡的时候，你要把我从埃及带出去，埋葬在他们的墓地里。”约瑟说：“我必照着你的话去作。”

“主啊，现在照你的话，释放仆人平平安安地去吧！因我的眼睛已经看见你的救恩，

反倒回来，在耶和华吩咐你不可吃饭喝水的地方，吃了饭喝了水，因此，你的尸体不能入葬你列祖的坟墓里。’”

“看哪，我今天要走世人必经的路了。你们清清楚楚（“清清楚楚”原文作“一心一意”）知道耶和华你们的神应许赐福给你们的话，没有一句落空；完全应验在你们身上，没有一句落空。

雅各又嘱咐他们，对他们说：“我快要归到我的亲族那里去，你们要把我埋葬在赫人以弗仑田间的洞里，与我的祖先在一起。这个洞在迦南地，在幔利前面的麦比拉的田间。那地方原是亚伯拉罕向赫人以弗仑买下来作坟地的。他们在那里埋葬了亚伯拉罕和他的妻子撒拉；又在那里埋葬了以撒和他的妻子利百加；我也在那里埋葬了利亚。

因为我知道我离世（“离世”原文作“离开这帐棚”）的时候快到了，正如我们的主耶稣基督清楚指示我的。

以色列又对约瑟说：“看哪，我快要死了，但是神必与你们同在，必领你们回到你们祖先的土地去。

把雅各运到迦南地，葬在麦比拉田间的洞里。那地方在幔利的前面，是亚伯拉罕向赫人以弗仑买下来作坟地的。
