Ahimaaz, the son of Zadok, said to Joab,“ Let me run and take the news to the king. Let me tell him that the Lord has shown that David is in the right. The Lord has done this by saving David from his enemies.”

撒督的儿子亚希玛斯对约押说：“请让我跑回去向王禀告，让王知道耶和华已从仇敌手中救了他。”

撒督的儿子亚希玛斯说：“让我跑去，把这好消息向王报告，就是耶和华已经把他从仇敌的手中拯救出来了。”

撒督的兒子亞希瑪斯說：『容我跑去，報消息給王知道永恆主已經維護了正義、而救王脫離仇敵的手。』

撒督的兒子亞希瑪斯說：「請讓我跑去向王報好消息，耶和華已經救他脫離仇敵的手了！」

撒督子亞希馬斯請約押曰、容我疾趨、以耶和華報仇之事、告之於王。

Now Ahimaaz son of Zadok said,“ Let me run and take the news to the king that the Lord has vindicated him by delivering him from the hand of his enemies.”

Then Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said,“ Let me run and carry news to the king that the Lord has delivered him from the hand of his enemies.”

Then Zadok’s son Ahimaaz said,“ Let me run to the king with the good news that the Lord has rescued him from his enemies.”

Ahimaaz son of Zadok said,“ Please let me run and tell the king the good news that the LORD has vindicated him by freeing him from his enemies.”

Then Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said,“ Please let me run and bring the king news that the Lord has freed him from the hand of his enemies!”

Then Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said,“ Let me run now and take the news to the king, how the Lord has avenged him of his enemies.”

Then said Ahimaaz the son of Zadok, Let me now run, and bear the king tidings, how that Jehovah hath avenged him of his enemies.

Ahimaaz son of Zadok said,“ Please let me run and tell the king the good news that the Lord has delivered him from his enemies.”

Then said Ahimaaz the son of Zadok, Let me now run, and bear the king tidings, how that the LORD hath avenged him of his enemies.

Then Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said,“ Let me run and give the king the good news that the LORD has vindicated him before his enemies.”

Then Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said,“ Let me now run and carry the king news, how Yahweh has avenged him of his enemies.”

They have their sons Ahimaaz and Jonathan there with them. Send them to tell me everything you hear.”

Then the man from Cush arrived. He said,“ You are my king and master. I’m bringing you some good news. The Lord has shown that you are in the right. He has done this by rescuing you today from all those trying to kill you.”

He said,“ I don’t care what happens. I want to run.” So Joab said,“ Run!” Then Ahimaaz ran across the plain of the Jordan River. As he ran, he passed the man from Cush.

Jonathan and Ahimaaz were staying at En Rogel just outside Jerusalem. They knew they would be in danger if anyone saw them entering the city. A female servant was supposed to go and tell them what had happened. Then they were supposed to go and tell King David.

You have proved that I haven’t done anything wrong. You have sat on your throne and judged fairly.

The Lord is known to be fair by the things he does. Evil people are trapped by what they have done.

Lord, judge all people. Lord, show that I have done what is right. Most High God, remember that I am honest.God, you always do what is right. You look deep down inside the hearts and minds of people. Bring to an end the terrible things sinful people do. Make godly people safe.

God, you see the problems of people in trouble. You take note of their pain. You do something about it. So those who are attacked place themselves in your care. You help children whose fathers have died.

My dear friends, don’t try to get even. Leave room for God to show his anger. It is written,“ I am the God who judges people. I will pay them back,”( Deuteronomy 32:35) says the Lord.

Lord, rise up in your anger. Rise up against the great anger of my enemies. My God, wake up. Command that the right thing be done.

You stand up for those whose fathers have died and for those who have been treated badly. You do it so that mere human beings made of dust may not terrify others anymore.

The man on guard duty said,“ I can see that the first one runs like Ahimaaz, the son of Zadok.”“ He’s a good man,” the king said.“ He’s bringing good news.”Then Ahimaaz called out to the king,“ Everything’s all right!” He bowed down in front of the king with his face toward the ground. He said,“ You are my king and master. Give praise to the Lord your God! He has handed over to you those who lifted their hands to kill you.”The king asked,“ Is the young man Absalom safe?” Ahimaaz answered,“ I saw total disorder. I saw it just as Joab was about to send the king’s servant and me to you. But I don’t know what it was all about.”
