王對洗巴說：「你的這些東西是甚麼意思呢？」洗巴說：「驢是給王的家眷騎的，麵餅和夏天的果餅是給年輕人吃的，酒是給在曠野疲乏的人喝的。」

王和跟隨他的眾百姓來了，非常疲乏，就在那裏歇息。

當將你的糧食撒在水面上，因為日子久了，你必能得着它。將你所擁有的分給七人，或八人，因為你不知道會有甚麼災禍臨到地上。

又有希律的管家苦撒的妻子約亞拿，和蘇撒拿以及好些別的婦女，她們都是用自己的財物供給耶穌和使徒。

基甸和跟隨他的三百人來到約旦河，渡了過去；他們雖然疲乏，還是追趕。基甸對疏割人說：「請你們拿幾塊餅來給跟隨我的百姓，因為他們疲乏了。我正在追擊米甸王西巴和撒慕拿。」疏割人的領袖回答說：「西巴和撒慕拿的手掌現在已經在你手裏，因此我們該將餅送給你的軍隊嗎？」

你們要嘗嘗主恩的滋味，便知道他是美善；投靠他的人有福了！耶和華的聖民哪，你們當敬畏他，因敬畏他的一無所缺。少壯獅子尚且缺食忍餓，但尋求耶和華的甚麼好處都不缺。

聖徒有缺乏，要供給；異鄉客，要殷勤款待。

提瑪地的居民哪，提水來迎接口渴的人，帶餅來迎接難民。

再拿這十塊奶餅，送給他們的千夫長，並要問你哥哥好，向他們要個憑據回來。」

因為耶和華上帝是太陽，是盾牌，耶和華要賜下恩惠和榮耀。他未嘗留下福氣不給那些行動正直的人。

腓立比人哪，你們也知道我開始傳福音、離開馬其頓的時候，在收支的事上，除了你們以外，並沒有別的教會和我分擔。就是我在帖撒羅尼迦，你們也一再差人來供給我的需用。我並不求甚麼饋贈，只求你們的果子不斷增多，歸在你們的賬上。但我已經如數收到，並且有餘；我已經充足，因我從以巴弗提受了你們的饋贈，當作極美的香氣，為上帝所接納、所喜悅的祭物。我的上帝必照他榮耀的豐富，在基督耶穌裏，使你們一切所需用的都充足。

我必趁他疲乏手軟的時候追上他，使他驚惶。跟隨他的眾百姓必都逃跑，我就只殺王一個人。

豈不是要你把食物分給飢餓的人，將流浪的窮人接到家中，見赤身的給他衣服遮體，而不隱藏自己避開你的骨肉嗎？
