When David arrived at the summit, where people used to worship God, Hushai the Arkite was there to meet him, his robe torn and dust on his head.

David arrived at the top of the Mount of Olives. That’s where people used to worship God. Hushai, the Arkite, was there to meet him. His robe was torn. There was dust on his head.

While David was coming to the summit, where God was worshiped, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat torn and dirt on his head.

但你－耶和華是我四圍的盾牌，是我的榮耀，又是叫我擡起頭來的。我用我的聲音求告耶和華，他就從他的聖山上應允我。（細拉）我躺下睡覺，我醒着，耶和華都保佑我。

顯我為義的神啊，我呼籲的時候，求你應允我！我在困苦中，你曾使我寬廣；現在求你憐恤我，聽我的禱告！你們這上流人哪，你們將我的尊榮變為羞辱要到幾時呢？你們喜愛虛妄，尋找虛假，要到幾時呢？（細拉）你們要知道，耶和華已經分別虔誠人歸他自己；我求告耶和華，他必聽我。

「你的民若奉你的差遣，無論往何處去與仇敵爭戰，向耶和華所選擇的城與我為你名所建造的殿禱告，求你在天上垂聽他們的禱告祈求，使他們得勝。

將近伯法其和伯大尼，在一座山名叫橄欖山那裏，就打發兩個門徒，說：

大衛蒙頭赤腳上橄欖山，一面上一面哭。跟隨他的人也都蒙頭哭着上去；

大衛的朋友亞基人戶篩去見押沙龍，對他說：「願王萬歲！願王萬歲！」押沙龍問戶篩說：「這是你恩待朋友嗎？為甚麼不與你的朋友同去呢？」戶篩對押沙龍說：「不然，耶和華和這民，並以色列眾人所揀選的，我必歸順他，與他同住。再者，我當服事誰呢？豈不是前王的兒子嗎？我怎樣服事你父親，也必照樣服事你。」

所羅門為摩押可憎的神基抹和亞捫人可憎的神摩洛，在耶路撒冷對面的山上建築邱壇。

她瑪把灰塵撒在頭上，撕裂所穿的彩衣，以手抱頭，一面行走，一面哭喊。

他若求告我，我就應允他；他在急難中，我要與他同在；我要搭救他，使他尊貴。

約伯便起來，撕裂外袍，剃了頭，伏在地上下拜，說：「我赤身出於母胎，也必赤身歸回；賞賜的是耶和華，收取的也是耶和華。耶和華的名是應當稱頌的。」

耶和華啊，求你起來！我的神啊，求你救我！因為你打了我一切仇敵的腮骨，敲碎了惡人的牙齒。

並要在患難之日求告我；我必搭救你，你也要榮耀我。
