王之僕約押如是行、欲藉此以諫勸、我主之智慧、如天主使者之智慧、能知天下諸事、

Your servant Joab did this to change the present situation. My lord has wisdom like that of an angel of God— he knows everything that happens in the land.”

He did it to change the way things now are. You are as wise as an angel of God. You know everything that happens in the land.”

Who can tip over the water jars of the heavenswhen the dust becomes hard and the clods of earth stick together?“ Do you hunt the prey for the lioness and satisfy the hunger of the lionswhen they crouch in their dens or lie in wait in a thicket?Who provides food for the raven when its young cry out to God and wander about for lack of food? so David inquired of the Lord, and he answered,“ Do not go straight up, but circle around behind them and attack them in front of the poplar trees. (niv)

Those who flatter their neighbors are spreading nets for their feet. (niv)

“ For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” (niv)

Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that“ We all possess knowledge.” But knowledge puffs up while love builds up.Those who think they know something do not yet know as they ought to know. (niv)
