Now, therefore, the sword will never depart from your house, because you despised me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your own.’

So time after time members of your own royal house will be killed with swords. That’s because you turned your back on me. You took the wife of Uriah, the Hittite, to be your own.’

Now therefore the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised me and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’

From this time on, your family will live by the sword because you have despised me by taking Uriah’s wife to be your own.

約押說：「我不再與你這樣耽擱了。」於是他手中拿了三根短矛，趁押沙龍還掛在橡樹上活著的時候，把短矛刺進他的心臟。替約押拿兵器的十個年輕人圍繞著押沙龍攻擊他，把他殺了。

王就渾身顫抖，上城門樓哀哭。他一邊走一邊說：「我兒押沙龍啊！我兒，我兒押沙龍啊！我要是能替你死就好了。押沙龍，我兒，我兒啊！」

難道你輕視神豐富的仁慈、寬容、耐心，不明白他的仁慈是引領你來悔改的嗎？

與女人通姦的，缺乏心智；行這事的，毀滅自己。他必受擊打和羞辱，他的恥辱無法抹掉。

耶穌就對他說：「把你的刀收回原處！因為凡動刀的，必死在刀下。

神藉著夜間的一個夢來到亞比米勒那裡，對他說：「看哪，因你接來的那女人的緣故，你就要死了！她是個有夫之婦！」

「一個人不能服事兩個主人。他不是厭惡這個、喜愛那個，就是忠於這個、輕視那個。你們不能既服事神，又服事財富。

因此，那拒絕這吩咐的，不是拒絕人，而是拒絕神——就是將他的聖靈賜給你們的那一位。

押沙龍吩咐他的僕人們說：「你們要注意！當暗嫩喝酒暢快的時候，我對你們說：『擊殺暗嫩！』你們就把他殺了。不要害怕！這不是我吩咐你們的嗎？你們要堅強，作英勇的人！」押沙龍的僕人們就照他所吩咐的向暗嫩行了。王子們都起來，各人騎上騾子逃跑了。

藐視我名的祭司們哪，萬軍之耶和華對你們說：「兒子尊敬父親，僕人敬畏他的主人。我既是父親，我當受的尊敬在哪裡呢？我既是主人，我當受的敬畏在哪裡呢？你們竟然問：『我們是怎麼藐視你名的呢？』你們藐視我的名是因你們把被玷汙的糧食獻在我的祭壇上，卻還問：『我們是怎麼玷汙你的呢？』又因你們說：『耶和華的桌子是可以被藐視的！』

「因此耶和華以色列的神宣告：我確實說過，你和你的父家要永遠行在我面前。但現在，耶和華宣告：絕不會這樣了！因為尊重我的，我必尊重他；輕視我的，他必被藐視。
